  1. If Shane Ray can stay healthy, a 1 year prove it or 2 year with a team option deal could be a bargain. Jason Myers is leaving the Jets but not for the Bears. If I were Pace I would just cough up a little dough to get Matt Bryant here. ETA: Adrian Phillips doesn't seem like a bad idea for Amos' replacement but not sure what he's supposed to cost.
  2. 3/16.5 for skrine with 8.5 guaranteed. Sounds like his struggles came from not playing the nicke spot.
  3. Bears have around 18.5 mil in space after restructuring Goldman and re-signing Braunecker. Rumored interest so far has been meh, Cordarrelle Patterson and Mark Ingram. And missed out on Eric Weddle.
  4. Assumingly Donatell follows him right? Unless he gets the promotion here. Bowles sounds like a good choice.
  5. I'm still believing they move heyward and get Harper. Perhaps my bias is too strong.
  6. Mike Garafolo @MikeGarafolo 5m5 minutes ago #Bears nickel CB Bryce Callahan suffered a broken bone in his foot in Sunday's win over the #Rams, sources say. Fifth metatarsal. His timeline is TBD but he'll likely be out a while. He was balling, so a tough one for Chicago. David J. Chao, MD ‏@ProFootballDoc 7m7 minutes ago More David J. Chao, MD Retweeted Mike Garafolo If Jones fracture, likely surgery and season over. If base of 5th metatarsal fracture, a chance to come back late season/playoffs.
  7. I have the utmost amount of faith in the cat. Shun the non-believers.
  8. Man so many good things last night from a lot of different contributors. Roquan's 1st pick, Fuller's INT tying the league lead, Goldman safety, ho hum Mack strip sack, etc etc. As good as they played that's not even their ceiling with their passing woes. I don't remember where I read it this morning, but someone mentioned Jim Miller's post game comments regarding how he came back with a similar injury and sailed everything his first game back. That makes me feel a lot better that good Biscuit will be ready for the Pack.

  10. After Matt Bryant comes back to the Falcons Giorgio Tavecchio would likely become available. Would make for some good competition, see if he can handle Solider Field.
  11. Ya i saw that too. Speaking to #Bears kicker Cody Parkey this week, he doesn't come down to Soldier Field during the week because of the commute issues, Maybe he should re-think it.
  12. https://www.profootballweekly.com/2018/09/25/mark-schofield-how-mitch-trubisky-handles-pressure-and-2-throws-that-should-give-bears-fans-hope/au9ybm7/ Article breaking down Trubisky's plays under pressure.
  13. He couldn't handle hitting his hot read when faced with pressure. So Nagy went into run the ball and throw screens mode. I'm still going to stay optimistic that some of these throws start getting there properly but the turnovers and almost-picks are piling up. http://i63.tinypic.com/2hi81nq.gif
  14. If you're gonna call illegal contact on Prince you should call it on Lockett for pushing off with both hands.
  15. Seattle isn't scary anymore but with Wilson still dangerous. Their pass blocking was exposed. They might not have Baldwin and lost a starting CB. Would be nice to face a mediocre QB with both teams meeting at 0-1. Hopefully we see a lot of Roquan. Nick is certainly not chasing Wilson down. It will be rather illuminating how they respond and defend their home field.
  16. Bears fans have been hurt so often that they can't help but feel extra-cautiously optimistic. Like many others, this is also the 1st time I've had any optimism for this team in a long time. With Mack, and barring significant injuries of course, I think they're finally playoff bound. I've never seen so much change over one off-season and a lot of people are going to be shocked at how much better they are. I'll predict they end up as a top 10 unit on both sides of the ball and an absolute pain in the ass to game plan against with how many weapons are in play now and their front 7. I can't wait for this Green Bay game, Rodgers is great enough to hold them off still and there will be ample doom and gloom waiting if he does.
  17. Wims is good he needs to make the 53.
  18. It's interesting that one of the 1st things Nagy does is check out Trubisky's junk.
  19. How does one read this article without subscribing to The Athletic?
  20. relatively young offensive mind. i'm good with it. of the reported names he was prob my 2nd choice. I've agreed with those ranking DeFilipo 1 and Nagy 2 with reasons to flip that order, as rawaction explained well earlier. Fangio staying obviously makes a big difference, hopefully that pans out. I could see him wanting to stay with what he's helped build, and of course $$$. Never know after being passed over for HC. Anyways, I'm not saying anything enlightening here. This hire sounds promising. It'll be interesting to see if Nagy calls the plays any word out there on his potential OC?
  21. He has an excel document with over 100 lessons learned from his Denver stint though. Mostly regarding how to not be a douche and that he can't be a Belichick clone.
  22. Well that's an easy no then. I don't know when ownership stakes for a HC became a thing and don't understand how Harbaugh is viewed in that tier. Defillipo is an intriguing hire. Would rather see a move like that than a failed college NFL retread.
  23. Fox can say No to the media as much as he likes. He's thinking about it right now.
