  1. NL Central: CHC 62-59 -- (!!!) :P MIL 62-60 0.5 StL 58-61 3.0 HOU 55-67 7.5 CIN 53-68 9.0 NL Wild Card: SDP 65-56 -- PHI 65-56 -- ATL 64-58 1.5 #LAD 63-59 2.5 #COL 62-59 3.0 MIL 62-60 3.5 # - still playing, assumed new records based on score [LAD leading 6-4 in top 9]
  2. That's a big kicker for me. But I don't live no where near enough to Chicago to get either WGN or CSN-HD every Cubs or WS home game, so I have little reason to follow the Sox alot, at least in that sense.
  3. Jake Peavy getting a dose of what happens most every time Rich Hill toes the rubber for da Cubs. 7.0IP, 4 hits, 1 R, 2 BB, 11 Ks = ND, in likely 3-1 SD loss to HOU
  4. Uhh, "not caring" about the White Sox kinda equates to not liking them, doesn't it?? At least for me, that is the case. I am getting a big time kick out of them being bad this year... I just don't follow their games/box scores every single day is all.
  5. i can't tell you how little i've paid attention to that team this year +1 Course, I never do pay attention to the White Sox, so that accounts my non-interest in them.
  6. Hilarious post from a Brewers forum...
  7. that's been a long time coming Damn right. We're in sole possession of first for the first meaningful day in three years. I can't believe this. Just to drive the point home, its more like 3.5 years!! Seriously waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay tooooooooooo long a time between then and now.
  8. Brewers are expectedly sucking, bad. Here's to hoping that continues + a major fall-off for the Cardinals!!
  9. I seriously mis-spoke earlier... I said this would be the first time the Cubs have led the Central in 16.5 months... that is WAAAY off! Its more like 40.5 months (23.5 months in "the months baseball season occurs" terms)!!!!!!!!! Good gawd, no wonder the view from here looks so gosh damned breathtaking and new!
  10. I realized that just as I was gonna make out the updated standings above... I was like "let's see, the Cubs should be about 2.5-3 games out now... OH WAIT! We're first in our division now, its MIL's turn to worry about their spot in the WC standings. Hehe."
  11. If it makes you feel better...on 8/17/03 the Cubs were 0.5 games out of first and just 5 games over .500 at 64-59. We are only 1 GB that team (and tied in the loss column). Just goes to show how consistently bad the NL Central is on a year-to-year basis. :-s
  12. NL Central: CHC 62-59 -- (!!!) :P MIL 62-60 0.5 StL 58-61 3.0 *HOU 54-67 8.0 * - still playing [tied at 1, in bot 5, @ SD] NL Wild Card: *SDP 65-55 -- PHI 65-56 0.5 ATL 64-58 2.0 #COL 62-58 3.0 #LAD 62-59 3.5 MIL 62-60 4.0 * - still playing [tied at 1, going top 6, vs HOU] # - still playing [LAD leads 5-0, in top 3]
  13. 1-1 bot 5; HOU/SD COL 0 - LAD 5; bot 2
  14. Just be thankful the Brewers are remembering how sucky they truly are and let's hope StL cools off [allowing us to sweep 'em] and stays as so after they leave Chitown.... unless they can help us by beating their opponent.
  15. In first place (by a 0.5) after a 6-10 start to the month [and 9-13 in last 22]; swept by HOU and lost 2 of 3 to Cincy...... what the hell, I'll take it anyway we can get it!!! \:D/
  16. Ump is squeezing Weathers... urgh. THATS IT, CUBS IN 1st PLACE!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO- HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. 1 more out, Stormy, CMON!!!!
  18. 455 feet That's it!? He absolutely annhilated that pitch. That's It? 455 feet is an absolute bomb. Sorry, should have put a winky or something in there to mean it was just in jest, but I'm still in awe... that was definitely "country strong".
  19. 455 feet That's it!? He absolutely annihilated that pitch.
  20. Weathers, now would be a good time to NOT suck. Thank you.
  21. Mid-9 now, 8-3 Redlegs. 3 MORE OUTS, BOYS!!!! Quick "other scores" update; PHI 11 - PIT 8; final ARI 4 - ATL 0; final HOU 1 - SD 0; top 4 COL 0 - LAD 0; top 2
  22. Someone call the police... a ball has just been brutally murdered in Miller Park!!!!!
  23. Dunn-Dunn-DUNN!!!!!!!!!!! 2-run DONG!!!! 8-3 Reds now... LOVING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Hmm... now the inside corner is noticed by the ump.
