  1. Weeks picked off first in the top of the 3rd, probably costing the Brewers a run..
  2. You gonna say this after a 3 strikeout performance and a dropped flyball in Left? :D
  3. I'll take the over. I think we score 3, but I also think TRL gives up 5 through 6 innings....bullpen gives up another 2 and we lose 7-3.
  4. Another scoreless frame, both teams going in order in the second. 0-0 after 2
  5. I know you are trying to be an anti-troll but, shut up. You so know you are winning. 21-30 road record + 13-39 or whatever it is all time at this park + exact rematch of game 2 of NLDS which Cubs lost + Doug Davis soft tossing lefty = Cubs lose Huh? I even said the same HERE that I think tonight will probably suck. The lineup is going to be awful. Gotta give you credit for being objective over here in what can many times be hostile territory, but you also claimed that the Cubs were going to tee off on "scrub" Petit last night... I applaud your diplomacy over here, but I think you're being a little TOO diplomatic. Either way, let the less bad offense win.
  6. Both teams put a runner on 3rd base in the 1st, neither team scores. 0-0 after 1
  7. He was in a group though, right? Was it Canning's group? No, he was his own group. I forgot his last name. Anixter I think? Also Levin is still in the mix I think (the owner of the Wolves) My gut feeling is that Levin's the favorite in this...a local guy who's already had success in the sporting arena. Just a hunch, nothing more
  8. Dude that series with the Reds in September 2004 was 400 times worse than this. But this is frustrating. Love the sig, UMFan
  9. I just don't understand how Lee thinks its a good idea to swing at 2-0 pitches against pitchers that have been having trouble finding the strike zone? Qualls in the 9th yesterday and Petit all day today.
  10. Yeah but who's been worth enough of a crap to hit in the 3 hole in Lee's place?
  11. First it was that quirky little nook that cost Theriot a triple instead of a double....in which DLee's flyout would have scored him.... and then DLee's WTP.
  12. I've had success getting tickets for face value, sometimes even slightly below face, by waiting until the 2nd inning to see a scalper or broker. At that point, they've already made their money, and they'll take just about anything just to get the tickets off their hands. You won't get bleachers that way, but just about anything else can be had.
  13. 0-1, 3.06 ERA, 11 K, 1 BB, 0.74 WHIP doesn't sound all that scrublike to me -- despite the small sample size.
  14. Swinging at a 2-0 pitch against a guy who had already walked a batter and was nowhere near on the first 2 pitches. No excuse for that.
  15. Can anyone in Cub Nation have ever imagined seeing the above sentiment posted on this or any Cubs forum? =D>
  16. Well that was worth it.
  17. I'll be very interested to see how Uggla is received at Wrigley next weekend when Florida pays a visit. Probably a good thing for him that the four game set in Chicago is Florida's only road series between now and August 5
