  1. DEMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I must have imagined the NL's 7th(?) inning and Nathan on the mound. Ok good, I wasn't the only one. Didn't want to sound like an idiot.
  3. Francona could move Wright there and lose the DH, unlikely given the dearth of remaining position players, or just tell Guzman, "you're in at 3rd, deal with it." I prefer the latter, I guess.
  4. No, because Wright's the DH now since he pinch-hit for Pujols. He won't see the field. GREAT call -- Thanks for putting my mind at ease \:D/
  5. In the on-deck cir-- :| leading off the next inning. Please don't tell me that Wright's going to take over for ARAM in the field.
  6. Ok, color me stupid, but did I miss ARAM? Been at 3rd for two innings Like I said, color me stupid! Never heard it.
  7. Cause he isn't facing Joe Nathan all the time. Maybe, just maybe, the HRD messed up his swing??? :beg:
  8. Didn't Sandberg win the HR Derby that year? Yes...with 3... Sandberg had 3, McGwire and Matt Williams 1, and Griffey, Canseco, Fielder, Bonilla, and Strawberry with 0. Can you imagine a HR Derby in Wrigley on a night with the wind howling out all over the place? The apartment buildings on Waveland and Sheffield would need HR ball insurance coverage. Glenallen Hill would not have been the only person to have hit one onto the rooftop.
  9. Didn't Sandberg win the HR Derby that year? With 3 total the entire derby had 5 Wind blowing in at 25mph, sounds like
  10. 1990 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990_Major_League_Baseball_All-Star_Game It needs to happen again soon because I was 4 when that happened. I distinctly remember CBS airing Rescue 911 during the rain delay.....distinctly!

  12. I hope Hurdle lets him go nine innings. 9 shutout innings would be even better!
  13. Because Eyre can't stay healthy, and despite the numbers, Cotts isn't very good. His 1.57 WHIP doesn't do much for me....
  14. See Monroe, Craig
  15. Great thanks to Fox I wont be able to watch this game, even though I paid $180 for MLB Extra Innings, it looks like I'll be watching little 3D guys that look the same on Gameday. My understanding is that with this being a 12:05 start time, the game will not be blacked out. Fox controls the 2:55 to 6:00pm central time window, so had the game been a 1:20 start, it would be blacked out, since there'd be considerable overlap. But since the game, in all likelihood, will be over by that time, or might bleed over be a few minutes, the game will not be blacked out. That's been the case with every other 12:05 start we've had on Saturday's before.
  16. Marty? Yeah, remember, the guy who said that Cubs fans are the most obnoxious in baseball?? The guy who said the Cubs won't win anything this year because "at the end of the day, they're the Cubs" That a-hole!! :-({|=
  17. CARDS LOSE!!!! 4.5 GAME LEAD!!!! 5 OVER THE BREWERS!!!
