  1. Only one of which would be justified. Milo was a mean spirited jerk. Stone was just villified by the orginization because they were too gutless to lay the blame on their own lousy players. I have no idea how a fan could actually dislike Steve Stone. He's one of the most knowledgeable folks to ever set foot in a broadcast booth.
  2. I don't remember him one bit. Then again, I moved here in 98.
  3. Was that scored an error? I know he probably would've had Alfonso, but I'm still surprised.
  4. viewtopic.php?t=13091 Now I know, and knowing is half the battle.
  5. Okay, I've gotta ask. I haven't been here as long as many of you... where does the term "Cobs" come from? I get that it's Cubs with an O, but... what else?
  6. Nah! The Rangers will score more runs. We lose this game 7-2. Well, I don't think there's really any doubt Tejeda will have a quality start.
  7. While it won't happen, I'd be pretty depressed to lose 1-0.
  8. I wanted him badly. Glad I didn't get my wish.
  9. I say that we bean Victor Diaz everytime up To be clear, Victor Diaz is formally of the Mets, right? The one that in 2004... yeah, it's gotta be him.
  10. Likewise, though not if it makes the game 2-1. I want him to hit it in a blowout.
  11. Sorry I messed up the first time.
  12. To think that I thought Ohka could be an asset to the Cubs in the offseason. Thank God I don't always get what I want.
  13. Did anyone else read "Ward" as "Wood?" I was excited!
  14. Come on, you know you're curious. Through his first three games and eleven at bats, the red head is currently hitting .182/.357/.545. He sure is taking a lot of walks and hitting for some pop so far. Of course, "so far" is an extremely limited sample size. Anyways, how does everyone think Murton will fare down there? How long till he's back up?
  15. Sammy will homer 5 times in this series, but we're still going to sweep them.
  16. Peavy won't even miss a start, he'll just have one pushed back.
  17. Griffey has 18 home runs. He's not an expensive version of Floyd.
  18. Color me uninterested. I'm all for selling high on Marshall, but he's still going to be a decent and reliable starter, so I'd like to get something a bit more long term for him.
  19. We need to worry about getting back above .500 before we even think about the Brewers. My call at the beginning of the season was 84 wins and quite frankly that's what I'd be happy with at this point. If that doesn't win the division, so be it, this wasn't our year anyway.
  20. I just saw a "Geaux." Hm, one of our beloved co-posters at the game?
  21. Time to go play Wii Golf! The only kind of golf I like..
  22. Does Jones have good numbers against Maddux or something? Greg's being unusually careful.
