    Without looking, Teixera. I think that's right. Anyways, I've got an odd feeling we're going to get Griffey. Anyone who has seen me talk about the Cubs knows I'm far from an optimist, but my gut tells me that the kid will be in a Cubs uniform by Tuesday.

    I'm worried about the Cardinals just about all the time, but they don't concern me one bit this year. Their pythagW-L is a measly 43-58. There's no way they get far enough above that to be a serious concern.

    I don't get it either. Does the completely useless by September acronym really apply to anything besides the 1969 and 2004 teams? I can't think of any other teams that were actually successful enough to choke in the regular season.

    This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on here. Will you be able to go on living next week when the Great Adam Dunn isn't a Cub? Goodness, the Cubs have no chance without him! The whole Adam Dunn circle jerk--THAT is the dumbest thing I've ever read on this site. It's moronic, it's imbecilic, and it's beyond boring. Not quite as bad as suggesting their bad performances this weekend should cool any trade talks.

    I don't think most of them actually think that. Ive recieved 11 text messages from Cardinal fans since the game ended proclaiming" Cubs better watch their ass, cause we are on the move". I just responded that the Cubs always watch their ass around the Cardinals, Edmonds scares them :D you have too many friends who are cardinal fans No, you have too many friends who are idiots. ;)

    The Cardinals are not a threat. If they were to win the division, we might as well stop following baseball, because it would be clear God has something against us.
