    Meek is pretty much the only Pirate that has performed this season on the mound. If he can go multiple innings, we're probably going to fail to get over .500 for the 20th time this year.

    There aren't many players I dislike enough to do a thread like this, but JP is definitely one of them; he's currently hitting .187/.260/.187 with a .224 wOBA. That's right. Not a single extra base hit yet. He's stealing bases at a 75% clip so that's ok. But, he's lost his leadoff job and now bats 9th in the White Sox lineup. Hilarious.

    Last year? Yeah, but why still act surprised that's "back?" It's not like he's just started hitting in the last few games. He's been looking good most of the season now. we're only a month in after a terrible year last year. I don't think it's terrible for some people to want to see a month (or more) of ABs before they determine last year was a blip (injury related or otherwise) rather than a trend. I only watched the last few innings. Was the umpire terribly inconsistent with balls and strikes all game? Yes.
