  1. Soriano was an obvious mistake, but as Meph and TT have illustrated, Z's hitting capabilties are enough to make him equitable with guys like Carpenter, Oswalt, et al. most years. Not saying $90 mil wasn't too much, but he's a unique and elite talent. Soriano isn't. Where the hell is Meph posting now? He's still posting where I first met him - the IGN baseball board.
  2. Wow. It's legit spectacular on the PS3. I wish I wasn't blacked out for the Cubs, because I'd definitely use this to watch their games.
  3. Is there any fiancee we will see him up soon? Like, late May?
  4. Per MLBTR. Maybe he could fill the 8th inning void?
  5. You know guys, there was an issue with the Podcast yesterday. It seems only the last hour of the show was put on. It started with the interview with Archer (who really doesn't know much about Cubs trivia!). I'm not sure if I'm the only one who had this issue, but I thought I'd point it out.
  6. It doesn't seem to be working ATM. Hopefully that changes soon.
  7. As soon as we get more listeners, I'll make that happen. :) +me!
  8. Be sarcastic about it all you want, but you're right - it's not. It's not even worth trying. Soriano has years of experience playing second base and he's really bad at it. That's been proven. He'd cost more with his glove than he'd help with his bat.
  9. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0FCI/is_10_61/ai_90831537/ The fact that Derek Jeter said that weighs on me far less than the fact that Soriano was frigging terrible every year he played second base.
  10. I just listened to the show for the first time today. I love it. Really great work.
  11. You despise the White Sox.
  12. Very awesome. Weren't blackouts supposed to be done away with soon though?
  13. I'm not sure why this thought crossed my head, and I'm not sure if anyone can answer my question, but here goes. During the "golden age" of New York baseball, the time when the Giants, Dodgers, and Yankees all played there, which team was most popular? Which was least? I've recently been reading about the moves of the Giants and Dodgers and the idea of all three of those teams in the same market is really mind blowing.
  14. If you're not saying it's bad there's a problem.
  15. I mean, at this point being a White Sox fan sounds like a great alternative. I think this is the stupidest move in the history of baseball.
  16. Not one bit. That's ridiculous.
  17. Anyone who posts here and says this is a good idea... I'm going to punch you in the face if I ever see you.
  18. Just got a Tweet about it. Oh. My. God. I officially despise Lou Piniella. cst_cubs: Z to pen. No joke. Lou just announced it.
  19. I'm already apathetic. I didn't expect that to happen so fast, but for my sanity, I'm glad it did,
  20. Just got a Tweet about it a bit ago.
  21. I don't care that he torched us last night. I've always had a soft spot for Angel Pagan.
  22. I bet his struggles have literally nothing to do with it and you're just trying to validate your preexisting belief that he's lazy.
  23. I still don't really buy it but I'd like to. I'm not ruling it out, but I didn't think that before the season started so I don't want to change it based on only a few starts.
