Been thinking about this - Weah not only cost the team a game, he cost them a tournament. That is just not acceptable. His apologies and assurances it won't happen again don't help. And the thing is, this happens with Dest just last year! So, my thinking is Berhalter should send him home. It's meaningless because he is suspended anyway and the US isn't going to advance. There needs to be a consequence to stupidity. The message needs to be clear that this team will not tolerate missteps like this - if you want to be part of the setup, you need to keep your head - especially playing in the shithole confederation the US does. Berhalter can tell him he's just being made an example of - it doesn't matter. I would also "promote" Berhalter to recruiter and hire a real coach.

I really don't understand how you can caution a player who plays the ball and then lands on his opponent's foot. the defender put his foot in his harm's way. terrible call imo

maybe. they still have to get a result against Chile. Copa really only has two good teams - Argentina and Uruguay. Everyone else is hacktastic outside the US. Monday will be a good test for the US - if the game matters
