  1. different sides of his face! :D
  2. So even though I get Milwaukee Fox and Chicago Fox, I'll still miss the saturday national games? they will likely show the cubs in chicago or milwaukee. in denver we usually get a crappy nl west game or the yankees or some crap like that. that's ok because I would rather spend my saturdays out hiking or something.
  3. local games are only blacked out if they are on locally I think. The only games you don't get are WCIU and saturday national broadcasts. the fox sports package is worthless as everything is blacked out.
  4. I don't think he will. You may have had to live through that to understand. Garvey is Bartman without the patheticness.
  5. they play a lot of folk music - where steve goodman would fall.
  6. indeed it is. it took me half the song to post the message. X Country is not what you think of as country though (not you specifically).
  7. Heh, you're on a crusade, eh? hey, both my schools getting the screw on the same weekend. Cal's your other school? The Pac-10 always play their games Thurs-Sat. I got a master's at cal when murray and kidd were there. My dad also went to grad school there so there is a loose affiliation. Definitely don't get as into it as Illinois though.
  8. Heh, you're on a crusade, eh? hey, both my schools getting the screw on the same weekend.
  9. this on XM 12 (DTV 810) now!
  10. ha, I see Illinois played today and plays again Tuesday night - stupid Big Ten.
  11. I said that months ago. I probably hadn't found the site here yet. I'm pretty new. take me off ignore you bastard! (can I use that word? maybe the mods will miss it). The key is Grissom subbing for Jones and not for Murton.
  12. racism? or because the guy seems like a horrible self-centered person who refused to compete in a team event that he had agreed to do? Give me a break, its not because of racism. I won't even go into the stupidity of the media in celebrating someone winning a medal b/c of their race... wow, you missed the point completely.
  13. not only that soul, but you can't pick up the story this week. this relationship has been ongoing. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if Hedrick was not a very nice guy - he is known as the Paris Hilton of speedskating overseas. He may actually be racist. I think its highly unfair to judge Davis without knowing the whole story. The guy has had a pretty remarkable life. And when he should be celebrated the most, his country has turned on him. Not saying it is or isn't, but if I was in his shoes, this would all smack of racism.
  14. How is he going to play LF? The Giants should trade him to the AL.
  15. this has been temporarily aborted.
  16. Pettitte. or do you mean when he gets hurt?
  17. without knowing a dang thing about pitching mechanics, you could tell something wasn't right by his inability to locate his pitches.
  18. the Korean conspiracy - good grief let it go already!
  19. D'oh! Two games in three days? Stupid pac-10. UCLA hasn't played since last Saturday. :| that's terrible. couldn't asu have hung around until tomorrow?
  20. D'oh! Two games in three days? Stupid pac-10.
  21. Yeah! Get your own bear!
  22. I don't think any of us can understand what could have been on his mind but that was a very awkward interview. of course, the interview questions throughout the olympics have been awful. Anton what were you thinking when you watched the two koreans crossing the line ahead of you? Seriously, wtf kind of question is that?
  23. well, he came from the southside of chicago.
  24. I agree he shouldn't have agreed to race and backed out, but I think Davis should be celebrated for what he has accomplished. He is far from the first to back out of a team event an an olympics.
