  1. just saw on Comcast, that on the eve of the 1984 draft there was a deal on the table to trade Dr. J for the 3rd overall pick(used to select MJ). Rod Thorn pulled it off the table....good move I'd say.
  2. Way to give Hill run support offense, 1 freakin run! pathetic.
  3. This is how I would do the lineup tonight LF Theriot 2B Derosa 1B Lee 3b Aram RF Murton CF Pie C Hank the Tank SS - Iszterrible P Hill
  4. Yes...play Hank White tonight. Looking at Aram's numbers it seems like Redman has really tried to avoid giving him something to hit...and Aram has shown good patience taking 5 BB's in 20 AB's.
  5. I wonder what crap James Posey is gonna pull this series?
  6. Redman has already struck out 5 Cubs, and the game hasn't even started yet.
  7. I'm not pulling for him, thats for sure. What a waste. Did he not follow step 9 and apologize to you for something? Nope...just don't feel bad for a coke head that wasted a ton of his talents while others would dream for such ability and chance to play in baseball. I also find it funny that if Hamilton was black, he would be labled as just some "thug", rather than some poor soul fighting his addiction. (FWIW I am white). So people didn't pull for Doc Gooden to come back from all his problems and give him second chances because he's black? I dream of the ability too, but I find it hard to be unsympathetic just because I haven't had the misfortune of dealing with some serious problems myself. I recall Gooden taking alot more heat in the media.

  10. 300+ million underachieving group of losers, or hard working playoff basketball team...I'd go with the Bulls game.
  11. Vitamin Water is some good stuff, if I may say so.
  12. Is the red line really that bad with all the work being done? Yes
  13. I usually park in this lot on Halsted, its between 10-12 bucks and easy to get out. BTW avoid the Red Line like the plague.
  14. They will have no one to blame but themselves. You have to beat a team like the Nets. D Wade usually doesn't play well in Chicago at least.
  15. Cubs lose, Bulls lose, and now I'll I'm gonna hear the next few days is about Beurhle's no-hitter. What a terrible day. By the way, screw the NBA's seeding system. How can anyone defend that mess?
  16. I don't think Soriano's willingness to change positions is pushing anyone out of the starting lineup. As it stands, Soriano is the CF (Pie is a substitute at this point), Murton is the RF, and there is a rotation in LF. The example you gave is a little different because Aramis is the established third baseman. Besides, let's keep in mind that Soriano was merely answering the question about, possibly, moving from CF if Pie stays with the ML team. I think his answer was more about doing whatever is best for the team/what Lou suggests. That is exactly what his answer was, I don't know how anyone could infer something else.
  17. This crap is getting out of control. How about worying about: 1 - Getting Full Time officials 2 - Fixing the pension plan for old NFL veterans.
  18. Considering patience has been his biggest knock all the way through our system, it was a very pleasant surprise to see him taking some pitches, while at the same time being aggressive. I would like to see a slight adjustment to his swing though - too much of a fly ball swing, not enough of a line-drive swing. Like C-Patt, he's a middle of the order player trying to be a leadoff guy...hopefully he adjusts better than C-Patt did. Eventually the long term plan is for both Soriano and Pie in the lineup. I'm sure Sori will stay at 1 and Pie anywhere b/t 2-6.
  19. ahh, I thought Ozzie said..."Your going to get hit" regardless....Go Sammy!
  20. (in a non-gay voice-not that there is anything wrong with that) I think Pie has more muscle definition in his arms and upper body.
