Between the towel reference, Dusty Baker Pick, and ridiculous quote, I'm guessing you are looking to cause trouble Not really, just having a little fun. I want Prior back as much as anyone, but I'm done being sad about it.
The fishing analogy. I'm so looking forward to his babble on Baseball Tonight. The guy is so out there it cracks me up as long as he's not managing my team.
Please Jim, find a way to get Crawford. Do whatever it takes. I have a feeling that kid is going to be one of the best in the game in the next couple years.
Wow. I almost feel bad for talking so much crap about him. The guy is spending himself to death. I hope he gets well soon, but maybe he can work a blockbuster sympathy trade for ManRam.
But you do have Izturis in his place who had an OPS of .613 to Cedeno's .610 And Izturis significantly underperformed his 2006 PECOTA If we are stuck with Cesar, I just hope he can stay healthy. He is still an upgrade over Cedeno because he won't make all those errors. Ronny killed us with his glove last year. I also hear Izzy is going to score us runs with his glove. I'm looking forward to him bringing it with him to the batters box next year.
I'm predicting that he'll pitch at least 200 innings next year. Simulated game innings that is. I wonder what his record is in simulated games anyway? I also wonder how the velocity on his towel is looking. Anybody heard?
Find a way to get Manny. I don't care about his attitude. Look at those numbers, and he has shown no signs of slowing down. I used to get sick of his antics, but I'm so desperate now I'll try anything to win. You have to admit, he would look so good in the middle of our lineup.
I didn't know much about this guy, but from what I read it sounds like a good hire. It will be interesting to see if we can undo all the damage that Baker's staff has done. Let the baseclogging begin!
I've watched him play a considerable amount and it looks like he lacks hustle. He looks pretty lax when it comes to chasing down foul balls and legging out potential singles. He is also is prone to huge baserunning mistakes. I don't think Lou will stand for that, and they won't get along. That is why I think he won't come back. I wouldn't mind seeing him come back, but I'm kind of torn though, he has improved his defense tenfold, but it seems like he always gets his offensive numbers after the game is out of reach or after the team has already tanked it for the year.
My personal favorite- "Let's put it another way: They actually employed Neifi Perez and Tony Womack in the same season, while breaking in Perez-wannabe Ronny Cedeno." Its good to see someone else recognizing Cedeno as nothing more than Neifi 2.0.
