  1. During the Bears' press conference, the report is Urlacher has a sprained big-toe and BB is day-to-day w/the rib injury.
  2. According to both the Dan Patrick Show and Foxsports.com, Urlacher should play this weekend.
  3. His OPS away from Skydome the last three years, 732. I know home/road splits don't mean much, but that is truly a poor showing.
  4. Yeah, but he does hustle.
  5. I'm quite suprised they'd trade him, considering Pedro will be on the shelf for 6-7 months.
  6. Bruce, I understand what you are saying. However, at the same time I can't help but wonder why? If Aramis wants to stay in Chicago If Hendry wants Aramis to stay in Chicago Then, shouldn't they have worked out the parameters of a contract before this? I mean, holy crist, he's only been the most productive Cub player for the last three years (combined). What is the problem? He's 28, he's arguably one the best players at his position in MLB, and he's publically stated he wants to be in Chicago. I can't help but panic. I bolded the part I question. Aramis may have stated such as a matter of public face. I have to believe the bulk of this issue falls on his shoulders, and not the organization. Is he really going to come out and say he doesn't want to be here?
  7. I wish he could lend some insight as to why there doesn't seem to be a sense of urgency on the part of the Cubs.
  8. because dunn kept striking out. But he got on base, and that's all that matters.
  9. Why was he fired by the Reds?
  10. Northwestern is on the verge of a AZ. Cardinals like colapse.
  11. Until Dusty mentioned it on ESPNews today, I never knew he played with Hank Aaron.
  12. Peter Gammons was just on ESPNews and mentioned that if the Cubs want to talk to Bochy, he's heard they can.
  13. Interviewing Listach would satisfy MLB's rules for interviewing minority candidates. Edited because I suck at typing late at night. :D
  14. According to ABC in Chicago, Girardi interviewed today with the Cubs.
  15. Isn't his thesis: Hendry follows trends, doesn't set them? I enjoyed the article, which is rare for a Rogers piece. It paints Hendry as someone who isn't quick to adapt.
  16. ESPNews is reporting that he is indeed out this week.
  17. Roy Williams disagrees. He guaranteed a Lions' victory.
  18. According to the Tribune, Nevin was the one who sought out a trade with the Twins. I find that rather odd.
  19. Yet Kaplan tosses Hendry softballs when he interviews him. The rant is nice, albeit misdirected and a little too late.
  20. Is Fox even catching anymore? I thought he's been playing a lot of OF since Robinson came over. Regardless, he's a poor catcher.
  21. Who cares about pitchers, Dierker uses and believes in stats.
  22. In his Sunday column, Phil Rogers wrote the Cubs like Freddy Gonzalez as a potential replacement for Dusty.
  23. Wrigley was supposed to have lights installed during the 40's. However, after the WW2 broke out, the Cubs' donated the lights to the war-effort. (I believe they were used in a shipyard).
  24. Dudes, I told you gingerkid should be agressive, Dudes.
