  1. His behavior was what caused that
  2. Because this type of abuse by men is ingrained deep, deep, deep down in...well, everything. It's like racism in that it's just such an inherent part of the power dynamics of our relationships that it leads to wondering things like this. Add in the factors of the abuser being someone famous and rich? Woof. The amount of fear and self-loathing and trauma that comes with abuse (and in the response to it being exposed/reported) is why sexual assault and spousal abuse are so dramatically under-reported. It takes a LOT to finally find what it takes to speak out against someone who has dominated them via fear and violence (and, again, the likely scorn, insults, anger and humiliation that comes along with being the person to speak out), so, yeah...it's really never a surprise when a guy doesn't get why a woman wouldn't go right to the police. The police and legal system have largely just tolerated, ignored or even fostered this power imbalance basically forever. Couple it with the abuser being a famous person that scores of people want to love and be a fan of? Forget about it. Abuser can be man or woman. My mother abused my sister and me for years. People never gave a horsefeathers. I remember hiding in closet as a 7 year old boy. Getting strap down and beaten. Abuse is not a man thing. It is a monster thing. So get this men bull horsefeathers out of your post. Abuser come in any sex. Abuse marks you forever and you can become a monster or to timid to do anything. But your post is a lot of [expletive]. Oh and Russell needs to be gone. Dude get your help but F him too. Abuse is not a male or female thing. Me and my sister can attest to that but my father almost went to jail because of people who think like you. He saved me and failed with my sister. She never truly recovered. Abuse is a person and not a sex.
  3. Carlos Baerga he was considered a throw in for the Joe Carter trade to San Diego
  4. Maddon is over compensating as usual
  5. Chatwood - definitely Darvish - probably just because so much of the perceived value is tied to the first couple seasons Morrow - eh, maybe. It’s not too unexpected though and he’s excellent when out there Cishek - sign 5 of him I want Arrieta instead of this broken Yu.
  6. Joe has always sucked with handling pitching.
  7. :nono: :nono: horsefeathers
  8. Article was well written. The headline was crap. Doubt Law wrote the headline, ESPN has people for that Yes they are called headline writers. I know he did not.
  9. who would write such a thing wow Article was well written. The headline was crap.
  10. He has struggled because of his diabetes. Morrow feels it easier to keep his sugar right in relief.
  11. He booed because he or she stinks. They are well compensated.
  12. He has as much brain power as hair.
  13. Theo agreed
  14. and 6 months older than Bryce Harper Buck cannot be taken seriously
  15. It must really rankle you Dusty Busters that Dusty Baker is more successful than you'll ever be. He's better paid, more well-liked, probably had more and better gals then you, and when it's all said and done and it's in the history books he will be remembered as a good manager. And no one will remember you. And on top of this, he's ruining your Cubs. And he'll probably finish out his contract - your protests are going to go totally unheeded. la (laugh aloud), it's such a waste of energy! It's kinda sad, when I put it in these real life terms, isn't it? I feel for you. Me, I give Dusty credit when it's due, like with Neifi today, and I'd rather elevate than denigrate anyway, makes me happier. To point out every little flaw doesn't do it for me either. What it comes down to for me, is that when y'all can't even give credit to the guy when a move he makes turns out well, that's just sad. Oh, also, this is great http://www.northsidebaseball.com/archive/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=29866&p=848659#p848659 Congrats Dusty you did it again. LOSE THE BIG GAME!!!!
  16. Strop is the only pitcher who looked good
  17. Wade is trying to gut it out. I hate Maddon
  18. Cubs pitchers are not throwing strikes
  19. He is right though. Heyward should be a defense replacement period. He is the last guy I want to hit. I would rather have Arrieta at the plate.
  20. biggest series of the year and where the hell is everyone? Cubs are not into it
