Jason Kendall © Bottom line, Theriot should be the new everyday leadoff hitter, at least until Soriano can start stealing bases with ease again. I'd also feel safer defensively with Floyd in left instead of right, even though it would give Soriano less chances for an outfield assist.

    :!: :!: :!: Thought that was gone. 'Atta boy, Kendall! Even though he has struggled this season, I feel 10x more confident in him at the plate than I do Hill or any of the other scrubs we've had behind the plate this year.

    Why is Giles being fined? All that I saw him do was pull Young away from Lee, preventing any further punches from being thrown. If anything, he should be commended.

    Good analogy. I thought during the preseason that, for sure, Wells, Looper, Reyes, Wainwright, and the rest of their cast of clowns would all deliver with Cy Young seasons... just because they're the Cardinals. But, oh how the mighty have fallen.

    The calls are going the Cubs' way so far. Lilly was awarded a few questionable strikes in the first, and the umpire seems to be really squeezing Wells. That coupled with a weak Padres lineup, and this game looks very winnable. But I think that leaving them loaded in the first will come back to haunt us later...

    WGN's production and presentation > CSN in every facet of the game. The thing I hate the most about CSN is that stupid theme song "swing batter, swing batter" :evil:

    Almost perfect. I'd still like to see both Theriot and DeRosa starting all the time, though.

    Why does Lou continue to bat Floyd second? He's a power hitter with a low OBP that is much better suited for the 5 or 6 hole. Also, I thought Lee was coming back today? :?

    The guy I'm playing in fantasy this week has him. As much as I loved seeing him hit those three bombs against the Sox, it stung a little, too.
