  1. Dempster never makes it look easy, I'll say that much... Looks like he caught a break there.
  2. If Corey Hart wins this game, I will jump out the window.
  3. This looks like the beginning of a nightmare inning, a la the Mets game back in May...
  4. Rickie Weeks has been punishing us this series... don't let this chump get on base, Dempster.
  5. Joba is unique tho He threw at him yesterday? Why? He also threw two balls over his head today. I meant today
  6. Everyone is making such a big deal about that kid on the Yanks that threw at Youkilis yesterday... he's been good, but Marmol's been doing it all season
  7. seriously... he's become one of my favorite Cubs.
  8. I'm loving the old guy in the green shirt who keeps giving it to the umpire. Damn, figures when Kendall is finally able to throw out a guy DeRosa chokes... ALL RIGHT MARMOL STRETCH TIME
  9. Here's everyone's favorite Brewer, ready to ruin the night... Come on Marmol
  10. This Cubs team, I tell you, an emotional roller coaster... I was dancing around the room not five minutes ago and now I'm back to pacing and swearing.
  11. Please Cubs, don't choke up this lead. OMG LEE NO NO NO NO NO
  12. Back to back jacks! He still shouldn't be hitting leadoff, though  Hit the showers, Cap!
  13. How many third strikes has Kendall dropped in this game? Uggghhhh, we NEED this one so bad. I thought we had it in the bag when they had Wise warming up in the second...
  14. Can anyone explain why he is still leading off? I've hated it since day one, and everyone always seems to defend the decision by bringing up the fact that his stats are better in the one-hole. The fact is, though, that a free-swinging power hitter like Soriano should hit lower in the order regardless of what his numbers look like. They will eventually improve in the five slot... he won't hit .185 or whatever if you leave him there long enough.
  15. Lincecum was also drafted by the Cubs.
  16. E-Evil woman!! Don't bring me down, groose. You mean Bruce?
  17. How many times has it happened that we have Zambrano going in the third game of a series, going for the sweep, against a weak lineup and inferior pitcher and we lose? I can remember the first series against the Sox, the last game before the break against the Bucs, and now (looks like) today.
  18. And it's only the sixth.
  19. Good game, kid. He's gonna be something else.
  20. I know it's blasphemous among Cub fans to bash the almighty D-Lee, but when's the last time this clown had a clutch hit? The granny against the Sox back in May? Come on... I am so tired of his routine: take the first pitch, foul one off, defend the strike zone for a while, and then strike out looking. Stop looking for a walk and take a swing...
  21. Jones will bounce into a double play and Lilly will strike out pathetically
  22. Now watch this clown toss five innings of scoreless relief
