    I have this nagging feeling that he's been typecast by the Cubs, and so no matter what he does he will never get a real shot. That's what I'm afraid of, too. I thought maybe his MVP would get their attention, but I wouldn't be surprised if they gave Kendall an extension.

    Man, I want to see Soto do well more than any other kid we've brought up (besides maybe Pie). I guess because I have this perception that he'll be the next Russell Martin.

    Yeah, I never expected him to make it with the Cubs... I just thought that Moore could've been a decent backup or could have earned us a bigger bounty than Trachsel.

    Thank you. I've been saying this for months, but most Cubs fans are so loyal to Derrek Lee that they refuse to accept that he is anything but perfect... maybe for what he did in 2005 or because of his troubles last season, who knows? See, I never fall in love with players, so I don't feel guilty about criticizing them at any time. Anyway, I totally agree. Almost every single one of his at-bats are like reruns of the previous ones. But you can't ever say that, or Cubs fans will jump all over you. And as I type this, Lee hits a home run... but I still stand by my argument.
