A potential huge night for the cubs in Fecal League play: Pittsburgh wins; Tampa Bay leading in the 6th;and KC leading in the 7th.

Cubs on pace to lose 98 games and fall short of the psychologically important 100 loss mark. They can't get anything right.

Nice job by cub's announcers trashing the team. Building to hit HRS when wind blows in 70% of time; fans would riot if pitching staff built around Woods/Prior; average talent at best batting, relief pitching, fielding; ownership too cheap to get first tier free agents, etc. Gee who wil next year's announcers be?

Which is why Maddux should have been kept around. Hill's the ace right now and I'd say the #2 starter going into next year. Something tells me the kid would have soaked up Maddux like a sponge.

In other fecal League action, Tampa Bay fails to protect an early deficit and succumbs to Minnesota winning 4-2 and falls into a second place tie with the cobs pending the outcome of the cobs-Pirates game tonight. KC has jumped to an early deficit trailing the Yankees 0-2 coming to bat in the bottom of the 5th.
