Just got here and see that Prior is still pregnant. How long can a pregnancy last?

Yet someone said on a thread that he should be in consideration for the Cy Young award. Cy Young is the only pitcher in history to LOSE over 300 games, so Izzy should be given careful consideration. By the way, there's a mass suicide watch at Viva El Birdos where the worlds' greatest baseball fans are pilloring Izzy, Carpenter, Pujols and the great Tony La Rue, who has never won a championship for the Birds.

I really hate Dusty. Who couldn't see this coming. I agree that Z needs a little extra rest over the next few weeks.

Pujols whiffs with the bases loaded and two out, but Cards lead Cincinnati 6-3 moving ot the bottom of the 6th. Meanwhile,the Astros lead the Pirates 7-0 and have the bases loaded in the bottom of the second in other NL Central action.

While watching the Cards meltdown last nigt and hearing the greatest fans in baseball boo their division leading team, I heard Al Hrabosky say, "What do the Cardinals and Cubs have in common? Neither has won a world championship in their new ballpark." -

I agree. I think that was it. I hope wherever he goes wins the World Series if he is traded (unless it's the Cards or White Sox). Maddux has such class I could,if drunk, even root for the ( cannot say it ) and (cannot say it) if he is traded to either. Greg Maddux, class act, great pitcher. All the best to you Greg. You're the best.

Why? He's our only decent hitter in the lineup without D-Lee. Problem is that he only starts hitting when you're 20 games below .500. You may actually be able to fool someone who thinks he can hit with pressure on.

Please no need to bring up Patterson. As was the case earlier, only relevant comparisons are allowed. :P See previous posts. Except that Patterson was traded to bring in Pierre. As TT pointed out, Hill and Marmol aren't competing for the same spot. They kind of are: next year it will likely be Z, Prior, FA Pitcher, Marshall, and the better of Hill/Marmol. What relevance that has I don't know, but I think they are both competing for the #5 slot. ...and besides that, they're all competing to be on the worst team in the majors!!! :lol:
