I still think Raw could have done better. You still have 2 games to make up on 3rd place, and I'll be interested to see how that shakes out.

Wow... I have no idea why Raw made that trade. Peavy for Hamels and Wright is basically how I see it. Atkins is garbage and who knows about Drabek.

I got this start, and I'm pretty pleased for 16 teams Rd 1: Turner Rd 2: Romo (qb's started flying off the board and it was down to Romo or Cutler) Rd 3: Welker (all the sure fire #1's were gone and it came down to a choice between him and Braylon Edwards) It's a PPC league, so I went the safe route. Not a horrible start for a 16 team league.

I have thought about it and i'm gonna wait on Thomas to see if he's available in round 4 or 5. I'll scoop him up then. I'm gonna go with either Moss/Jennings in round 2 or Brady/Manning/Ryan in round 3. We'll see... Any suggestions people could make would be appreciated.

The pot is $3200 a year so it's well worth trying to win. I drafted 4th and took Michael Turner with my first pick. The starting roster looks like this: QB- RB- WR WR TE WR/RB WR/TE/RB K DL DL DB DB LB LB The roster will be a 40 person roster. We're having 3 drafts this year since it's year 1 of the league. The first draft is an offensive player draft, draft 2 will be a defensive player draft, draft 3 is a rookie draft consisting of this year's rookies. All the big names are off the board after round 1 at WR. Here's a look at what's left when I'm gonna draft in round 2: QB- Brady, Manning, Cutler, Ryan, Palmer, Romo RB- Portis, Grant, Bush, Pierre Thomas, K. Smith WR- Moss, Wayne, Jennings, Edwards, Welker TE- Gates, Witten, Olsen, Winslow I'm really thinkin about taking Pierre Thomas in round 2 (Even though I'll have 2 RB's), he's young and was in my top 10 RB's and I'm shocked he's not off the board yet. I could take a Brady or Moss, and hope that they have a few good years left, since this is a dynasty league. Has anyone ever played in one of these sort of leagues? Any recommendations on my draft strategy from here on out? Should I take a Pierre Thomas and fill in the WR/RB slot and then a qb 6 picks later in round 3? Thoughts??? Thanks!

Volstad crapped on me and so did Halladay in start #2 of the week. Oh well, can't win them all! Still have a 2 game cushion on 2nd place.

I said the same thing when I talked to Justin on the phone tonight. He was interested in getting a stud prospect (Moustakas) for someone like Beckham because he has 3 SS on his team and plans to keep Reyes. He basically said to him the trade was Meche for Smardzja with Beckham for Moustakas being a wash. He was getting sick of Meche I guess and his recently shitty performances and just wanted to get something for him. Who knows..

Sure is... It'll help me in the future whether it's this year or not. Anderson > Blanks and Ramirez will either be cheap to keep or will get Blalock out of my lineup. Reimold has been doing way too good of a job to be sitting on the bench.
