  1. Pullen putting his name into the draft, but not hiring an agent. Hope this kid is given the right advice and decides to come back next year, as he's not a first round talent "yet" until he can prove himself at PG for a year. Him not being back would change us from a preseason probable top 10 to barely top 25 if even top 25. Just what I've been told, not confirmed btw...
  2. Definitely the case, but seeing this makes me disregard the "major" conference stuff: Per Ken Pomeroy, KSU has had the toughest run to the Elite 8. Of the remaining teams, only KSU has played (and will play) at least three teams in Ken Pom's top fifteen: BYU: 10 Xavier: 15 Butler: 14 Should KSU win today, and Ken Pom gives them a 68% chance, they'll have had the toughest road to the Final Four out of ANY team in the tournament, regardless of the seeding. The only other team with a comparable schedule according to Pomeroy? Butler. Not sure if you were trying to "disregard" what KSU has done so far, but thought I'd throw it out there.
  3. GD KSU! My fiance is about to kill me for keeping her at BW's so late!!! HELL OF A GAME! I will say the refs didn't help in the first half, but they made this maybe the best I"ve ever seen! I like the road to the NTL Championship! Keep it up CATS! Pullen is a BADASS!!
  4. Is Pullen out of traction yet? Hope not. He didn't factor last time we played Xavier and we won by 15. Granted that was in Manhattan, but still. Don't want to get too much hope, but really looking forward to the game. Good reason for beers on a Thursday night.
  5. Big game tonight for the Cats. We beat Xavier once this year by a good margin, but this game isn't at home and Xavier is a much better team now then earlier this year.
  6. Have no idea what to think about my team. First time I've just not known what to expect.
  7. can someone drop the placeholder westmoreland from my team? I can't find him when I go to add/drop to do so. Thanks, Don
  8. I want to make one more pick.
  9. Love the KSU hate! Keep it up! Screw ALL of you haters!
  10. Westmoreland has been added to the database. Could someone drop the placeholder and put the real guy on my team? Hoping that surgery doesn't impact his life nor his prospect status.
  11. Who's Asprilla? I don't remember him at all. Personally, I'd get Judge and Samuels on the court as much as possible. http://www.kansascity.com/2009/11/17/1577313/k-state-adds-to-recruiting-class.html He's Cole basically... at least he was in the Sun Belt his freshman year. I'll be estatic if he duplicates those #'s his junior year, or his first year at KSU.
  12. Lol. Little is still younger than Morningstar. Brady is like 5 months younger than Deron Williams. Haha, that's true. I forgot, Morningstar did a year of prep school, too. Dom Sutton is JUST as old! Next year we'll look like this, one hell of a deep team: PG: Russell (Soph)/Irving (Soph)/Spradling(Fr) SG: Pullen (Sr)/McGruder (Soph)/Southwell (Fr) SF: Sutton (Sr)/Samuels (Jr)/Southwell (Fr) PF: Kelly(Sr)/Judge(Soph) C: Asprilla (Jr)/Henriquez-Roberts (Soph) The loss of Clemente is huge, but we are a very strong 2 deep at every single position. I can't wait to see how much Judge and Kelly improve after a year, as well as how McGruder improves. We're going to be pretty nasty. It's nice to have something to look forward to! Outside of Clemente we're only losing Colon and Merriewether. Colon is addition by subtraction anyway, imo. I don't really see what he brings to the table. Agreed, other than 5 fouls.
  13. KSU has by far the EASIEST road to the Final 4 of any of the 2's. The hardest game they have would be Syracuse. I'm not guaranteeing they make it, but it is by far the easiest road of the 2's. Baylor to the final four is my "bracket buster". Don't sleep on BYU Its a tough game, I know that, but they cannot hang with physical teams that like to rebound. They lost to UNLV twice, who we beat in vegas by 15. Not to say i'm not worried about them because they are a good team, but I just can't see us not winning the game if we hit the boards like we normally do. Also, I'm not so sure they get by Florida in the first round.

  15. 1988- at least for the elite 8. I see that happening again at least. Not sure after that.

  17. I don't think so. He's not looked at as being a first round pick from what I've read, as he didn't play PG this year and doesn't have the size to be a SG in the NBA. He's basically in the same position that Sheron was in last year and will come back for his Sr. season. That and his mother is big time in his life, and wants him to stay to get his degree. He's also very close to Frank, and I can't see him leaving him after this year.
  18. KSU loses Clemente, but our Freshmen (McGruder, N. Russell, Irving) are all soph guards and should be able to pick up the slack collectively as a group. Pullen will be better as a Senior. Judge will be greatly improved as a soph, as will Curtis Kelly as a Sr. Samuels will be a junior, Sutton a Sr. Adding 7'0 285 lb freshman of the year at Florida Atlantic who averaged 13.5 pts and over 9 boards a game. Dare I say KSU will be BETTER next year than we were this year. We'll be a different team and will dominate the post. I predict winning the Big 12 after KU loses Henry, Cole, and Sheron.
  19. Is this for any random draft pick in 2011, or did you mean to specify a particular round. You all should start this entire thread over, because I'm certainly confused. Quakers 8th rounder this year for mine next year.
  20. you owe me money You tell me where to send the $5 and I'll be happy to send it.
  21. Should be in the Elite Eight pretty easily. Can only hope!!
  22. I like the Cat's draw. Should be able to handle BYU to get to the sweet 16. At least I hope so!
  23. Hey guys, I'm going to start this thread hoping that we can move the draft along at a quicker pace. My phone # is 313-443-7334. If I'm not in the draft room at the time of my pick, someone can call or text me to get it. Hope more people do the same.
