    It would have to be an issue of whether or not a whistle was blown while Harris was on the football.

    He was trying to go right but was prevented by the Falcons player. He had no choice but to go left at the last second. It was not a penalty.

    With a small interior line right now, I'd just try to pound it up the middle.

    At some point they'll start backing off the safeties and a linebacker or two to see if the rest of the D can still shut down the run.

    The safety play on passes hasn't been overly impressive so far. Manning sure was late dropping back after showing blitz.

    So after reviewing that play for five minutes, the ref didn't notice that it wasn't the QB who was taken down for a TFL? Although, on the WBBM pregame, they said this head official is the least experienced in the NFL. That would make sense that he would take a lot longer.

    How on earth is this taking so long? Did the crappy production team on this game fail to get any other angle? Although we should be glad they actually showed the fumble instead of a random receiver.

    You usually don't see a challenge flag out before a replay is even shown, but that was rather obvious live. Still, the run defense looks great so far.

    Payne wasn't really sure what to do on that bootleg. That's usually not a good thing. Nice play, Graham! And in the early going, they're still not attacking Graham.

    have they ever explained why they keep kicking off? Trying to start the game with a strong defensive stand? Field position and a perception of second half momentum. I hate receiving first, though there probably isn't much of a tactical advantage. Particularly in a dome.

    By the way, Tommie Harris will start out primarily in passing downs only today. Which is the right decision.

    After the goal, this second half will likely shape up to be quite boring.

    Same stuff they always do, namely alcohol-fueled inappropriate sexual misconduct. This occurrence wasn't nearly the entire band, but they have a long tradition of it. They're lucky it hasn't happened more often.

    Defense played decently, shut down Ringer, yet continuously shot themselves in the foot by giving Michigan State an average starting field position of the NU 49. And Hoyer did the rest. What a kick in the nuts.

    I love how unclear they make things: Only pay attention to the first part.

    They had the information up prior to their elimination, then took it down. Last year, though, only the NLCS and print at home tickets were refunded. Game 4 NLDS hard tickets had to be mailed in. I don't really trust any policy until they put it up on cubs.com, but I wouldn't assume that you'd automatically get a refund for game 5 tickets.

    Northwestern is up to #2 in the rankings. They beat Penn State for just the second time in program history by a score of 2-1 Saturday afternoon at beautiful Lakeside Field. Could have been 3-0 pretty easily and they really controlled the pace well.
