  1. And Ramirez misses his 2nd HR by a foot...but it's an RBI double!
  2. And there's Murton showing off his speed.
  3. Williams sure is getting a bunch of flyballs tonight.
  4. BACK-TO-BACK JACKS PART II!!!!!!!!!
  5. Wow. Can't have much more of a balk move than that. He went about 80% towards the plate.
  6. Williams didn't really have any sink up until that last AB.
  7. A surprisingly patient AB for Ramirez after back-to-back HRs.
  8. He should have never called him back up to begin with, but it's likely too late to add someone to the 40-man roster if Nomar could be back in two weeks. Williamson's timeline is 1-3 weeks and who knows what other moves Hendry might make, so I'd imagine Hendry will just stick with Cedeno until Nomar is ready to be activated.
  9. Hopefully, especially considering he was held out of a game this past series because of his hip and shoulder. Dusty hasn't batted him in the middle of the order when he's been banged up.
  10. According to Williamson, the Cubs need to see him throw in back-to-back games at Iowa. He said that it could be a matter of five or six days before he gets activated or as much as three weeks.
  11. This is the 6th lefty in the last 8 games, I believe. CHICAGO CUBS Hitters AB R H BI BB K LO AVG J. Hairston Jr. CF 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .264 T. Walker 2B 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .303 D. 12. Check the injury update thread. It's been over a week, I believe, since he appeared in a game for Mesa, but he's probably less than a week away from going on a rehab assignment.
  13. Great. I could care less about the strikeouts right now. The first step for him will be to start hitting the ball hard again. When he tried to shorten his swing this year, it didn't do much for his K/BB ratio, but it did have a big effect on his BA. He hit way too many weak ground balls and pop ups this year.
  14. Fergie's number retirement was brought up at the Convention. It sounded like they will consider a co-retirement, but if it does happen, don't expect anything for a while.
  15. Great game by Carlos and a much needed win. Now let's take 3 of 4 from the Reds.
  16. Reyes strikes again! He singles in Coats to end the game in the 8th and give the Jaxx a 4-3 win.
  17. Craig Wilson will miss most of the rest of the season after Maddux's pitch broke his hand today.
  18. Coats' RBI double ties the game at 3-3 but he's thrown at at third after trying to stretch it into a triple.
  19. The recap from last night's Daytona game:
  20. The 2nd double was a shot over the center fielder. 9-3 the final in game one. And see you in three weeks.
