Not unless he plans on transferring to USC, ND or Texas anytime soon. Nah. Brett is taking graduate school classes and is working on a master of arts degree in communication studies. I don't think he'd want to settle for ballroom dancing (although I'm sure he'd be great at it).

This might be the first blowout for NU in a Big Ten game since the near 40 point stomping of Illinois to clinch a share of the conference championship in 2000 and the first on the road in a looooooong time.

I just wish I had thought NU would win this and I didn't have a cold so I could've made the trip up. Dave Eanet and Ted Albrecht on WGN Radio are still in shock at this score. And so am I!

Yuck. Just for once I'd like to see Randy Walker show a little killer instict. Of course, he might have if not for that holding penalty. But wow. MSU with just 7 points at the half! And they haven't scored in the last 33:54.

Ugh. This team's clock management with less that a minute left in the first half is terrible for the 4th week in a row. Save the timeouts for an offensive drive! Yeesh. NO GOOD!!! 'Cats get the ball to start the 2nd half, but I sure would like to see at least a FG attempt here. Can't take a knee here. Gotta show some killer instinct, Walker, before the team blows the lead in the 3rd quarter. Another timeout with the clock stopped. TERRIBLE clock management.

True freshman safety Brendan Smith saves a score but might be done for the day. That's a huge loss for an already bad secondary. :cry: That was a nasty shot to the knee he took.

Licey.com has Pie going 1-3 with a strikeout in the first, a strikeout in the third, a single to leadoff the 6th but tagged out at second, and a sac bunt in the 8th. The box credits him with a stolen base, as well, but that looks to be a mistake. Also, Marmol pitched for Licey and threw 1/3 of the inning at the end to get the only man he faced. Valdes pitched for Azucareros.
