  1. Hurricanes lose. Didn't expect that.
  2. Miami goes for the HR on first down and it's picked off inside the 5! Of course, GT can still screw this up. They don't have much room.
  3. I saw that. Stupid. I really hope the Canes don't come back. Worst punt returning since...last Sunday at Soldier Field. GT is very lucky they only turned over 1 of those 3 dropped punts.
  4. According to Licey.com, Aramis wants to play for the Tigers later this year if he's healthy enough. The google translation wasn't great, but it also looks like he wants to play for the DR in the world classic.
  5. Not all that pretty, but Baz really saved the game with his running game. Sutton collected 200+ yards, yet the defense was horrendous (especially the secondary, so thank you, Deante Battle, for being suspended this week due to academics). But it was a decent enough win that'll do the job. I didn't want Iowa to win, but they destroyed Minnesota enough to easily put NU ahead of the Gophers come bowl time. And thank you, Ohio State, but only if you get the BCS at-large bowl bid. 5-3 in the Big Ten and tied for 3rd. Not a bad season. Had its ups and downs, but I didn't expect nearly this kind of success, especially after the loss to Penn State. Looks like they'll either play an at-large team in the Music City bowl b/c the SEC only has 6 bowl-eligible teams or, more likely, a Pac-10 team in El Paso at the Sun Bowl. Can't wait! By the way, Miami's uniforms were the ugliest thing I've seen today until I saw the Miami cheerleader uniforms and then the Miami band uniforms. Yikes.
  6. Ozuna: .276/.313/.330 in 2005 + ability to play 8 positions = 1 year, $500,000 Perez: .274/.298/.383 in 2005 + ability to play infield = 2 years, $5 million :-k
  7. I wonder if Raisin can use this as an example of his accuracy when working with numbers during a job interview. By the way, after his 1-3 performance last night, his BA is "up" to .222.
  8. Was that necessary? huh? sorry, i have no idea who the hell he is, i'd never heard of him. I think he's referring to the post Cheesehead made asking Roast to not use the lords name in vain. However I did get a good laugh out of your post about who the hell he was. oh, i wont get into it in this thread, i guess, but who's lord is he referring to? If anyone wants to talk/debate it, please do it elsewhere. Cheese's request isn't unreasonable and all I ask is that everyone does their best to respect the other members of this community. That goes for everyone (I don't mean to direct this at IMB).
  9. Pie started tonight and went 1-3 with two strikeouts before being PH for in the 9th.
  10. Anything more manly than getting into a fight at a BBQ held at an FBI shooting range?
  11. Bingo. Plus, it's great for sleeping. Anyone going to argue against my pro-sleeping agenda? And I agree on the refreshed feeling. I made the mistake of riding my bike back from the gym in shorts when the wind chill was about 18 degrees today, but other than that, I love it. Can't wait for some real snow.
  12. For those who didn't see the Sounds of the Game segment on GNL Sunday: http://org-www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/
  13. He's sitting again tonight. I'd imagine he's been benched because of his struggles.
  14. It's been a week since Pie's last start. It looks like Licey has been off 3 of the past 4 days, though, but I wonder how much longer he's going to stay out there.
  15. Miss TJ Parker much? Where is he? In what sense? TJ is on the Paris Basket Racing team over in France. I'm guessing he's enjoying sitting next to Eva at Spurs games during his free time. The team is pissed that he left, but he's not really going to be missed on the court. Michael Jenkins can run the offense just as well as TJ did.
  16. Vedran puts up 28 as the Wildcats upset Charlotte 61-47 in the 2nd round of the BCA invitational. Didn't expect that...
  17. I will renew my plea for Duke to take back Michael Thompson. He was sooo bad last night. Couldn't rebound, couldn't hit a layup, and even missed a dunk. Thankfully he was pulled for Vince Scott by the 2nd half. For some reason Cote only played 3 minutes last night, but he's been impressive in practices. He has the outside shot that the team needs and will compliment Sterling Williams' defense well, I hope. With that said, this team looks like they're going to replicate last year's mediocrity. If they make the NIT, it'll be close. Thank goodness for Vedran, though...
  18. I'm still worried about this Saturday. Maybe even more so now. Not about a loss, although this team has really underperformed the past few weeks, but it's just so important that Basanez, Sutton (x-rays negative, cleared to play), and the offensive line bounce back. And for the love of all that is good, Randy Walker finally needs to crack and get a special teams coach.
  19. That is good news. Now sign Damien Anderson for a few weeks, please.
  20. That was an awesome segment. That picture you posted was right when he was saying that was where he got a cramp. :D I couldn't quite hear what he said. That's great. And supposedly they've practiced that play before.
  21. http://www.jonmdavis.net/vasher.avi Excuse the choppiness, as I had to capture the video from a web stream, but I did interleave the audio from WBBM 780. Just under 3mb.
  22. Vasher was the player hooked up for Sounds of the Game today for Bears Gamenight Live on NBC. That was entertaining. And what's funny is that there were a few players on the line who were walking off the field even after Vasher started to bring it of of the endzone. They had a shot of Brown with his head down and slowly walking to the sideline but turned around to try to run to the play when the crowd started to make noise.
  23. He's old and homosexual. I don't think that comment was necessary or factual. There's no need to bring up someone's sexuality.
  24. Way to burn a timeout before giving up the tying 2-point conversion, Vikings.
