Psht. PSU is the only Big Ten school with fewer alumni in the Chicago area than Northwestern. So there. I'm surprised it's not more than NU, since PSU has 40,000+ students on main campus alone (plus over a dozen sattelite campuses) while NU has 6,500. I'd expect that to change in the near future when PSU is more established in the Big Ten. Then I'd think you'd see a rise in the # of Chicago-area students going there. I meant there are more PSU alumni living in Chicago, not that there are more kids from Chicago going to PSU Right, but they're related. I'd have to believe that the Big Ten schools have an advantage when attracting students from Chicago. The longer PSU is in the Big Ten, the percentage of kids going to PSU from Chicago is probably going to go up. Many, if not most, will move back after graduation and increase the number of alumni in the Chicago area. The more I think about it, the more I want the Wildcats to head to the Music City Bowl. Nashville would attract a lot more NU fans than El Paso and I could probably make the drive down there. Not sure if the SEC would be able to send a team (and thankfully it won't be Tennessee), but I don't want to face a Pac-10 team at the Sun Bowl. Cal would be okay, I guess, but I think we could handle an at-large team like Virginia.
