  1. They took down the video link, apparently. :) There's still audio and gameday, though.
  2. And it's Ryu starting. I was hoping to get to see Valdez for the first time. Oh, well. Another day. Get to see Pinto, though! 3. It depends if the bleacher boxes are connected to the rest of the stadium like the bleachers are supposed to be. If that's the case, then you could watch BP in the infield and then go to your seats after BP. Of course, you'd be missing out on some chances for BP HR balls.
  4. Probably to show off their new stadium, but still. At least there's one nationally televised game at Soldier Field.
  5. Two monday night games...against the Rams and Cardinals?
  6. The outfield will be soaked, but it looks like most of the rain should come before the game. Still, the weather is going to be miserable.
  7. Hmm. I assumed it would probably be Ryu since Guz/Hill both threw Tuesday (?) and Brownlie got some work in during the last ST game. Brownlie is in the bullpen while Walrond is in the rotation. The rotation lists I've seen go Hill, Guzman, Valdes, Walrond, and Ryu, but we'll see.
  8. This is likely in response to how he felt after he was shut down. Rothschild was quoted as saying that he didn't lose any arm strength and was surprisingly responding really well to throwing probably a little too much. I'm not sure about why they're calling it that, but he was pretty close to throwing off the mound, anyways. Hopefully they don't push it too much, though they may be feeling that taking it too slowly before was the wrong approach.
  9. I can't recall if he was seen in minor league camp, but he did pitch this winter in the Dominican league, I believe. He's not confirmed as today's starter, but it seems likely.
  10. Sweet news. Even though I don't like IowaCubs.com merging with MiLB.com, they are going to provide Gameday for every game. In addition, you can watch all of their games for just $9.95. April is free.
  11. What direction? In from left/left-center.
  12. The forecast doesn't exactly look promising. High of 47, winds gusting close to 30 mph, and a 70% chance of rain/wintry mix. The wind chill could be below 30 for most of the game.
  13. Holdzkom pitches a scoreless 7th inning (Mateo went 5 to get to 60 pitches instead of his scheduled 4) and the Jaxx win!
  14. The DJaxx rotation: Mathes, Marmol, Wells, Cash, Mateo. Piggy will be used out of the 'pen. For Daytona, Wick strikes out to end the 5th and then leads off the 6th with a walk (that makes up for it). D-Cubs need 1 to tie, 2 to win. Culpepper with a bloop single, 2 on. Craig loads 'em up on an infield single. Cubs tie it up on a WP. Culpepper thrown out at the plate on a ball deflected off the glove of the pitcher and to the second baseman. And the Cubs can't win it. Game ends in a 2-2 tie.
  15. Mateo loses the shutout on an RBI single in the 5th. 12-1, bottom 5. Daytona still trails 2-1.
  16. Long sac fly for Richard Lewis (PHing), 10-0 Jaxx. Dope scored on a passed ball, I believe. Micah scores on a WP, 11-0. Greenberg follows with a long 2-out triple off the base of the wall in right-center. Richie then hits a PH RBI double. 12-0. Cates PHs and grounds out to end the inning. 9 runs scored, though.
  17. EPatt with a 3-run HR off the top of the wall! 8-0 Jaxx. Grant Johnson in to pitch for Daytona.
  18. Montanez doubles and Greenberg follows with an RBI double.
  19. One of the Daytona announcers mentioned Craig's transition to catcher, but didn't say what exactly the plan was. I guess Salas is in there and not Spears.
  20. Woo, EPatt! 2-run triple down the right field line.
  21. Nic Jackson is DHing for Daytona and he's up with Fuld on third (walk, I think) and Harvey on first (bloop single). He hits a sac fly to left, Daytona down 2-1.
  22. Holliman gives up a questionable 2-run HR, but a HR nonetheless.
  23. Daytona's lineup: Spearman at 3B, Simokaitis at SS, Spears at 2B (I think), Craig at 1st, Cullpepper in LF, Fuld in CF, and Harvey in RF. Didn't catch the catcher, but I'd imagine it's Fox. Mark Holliman is on the mound.
  24. Both broadcasts are about to start. Ron should get priority, though.
