  1. Crap. And he was only a handful of starts away from needing to be shut down for the season.
  2. Sorry to hear that, Garwilly. I'll be in 149 for the Bills game. The NW corner endzone is the Bears' tunnel, no?
  3. I flip by the game and see that hell froze over.
  4. Looks like they're all sold out except for singles. The automated line worked really well. There was no wait in reserving tickets like there was online. The only downside is that checkout took like 5 minutes.
  5. I made the mistake of going for Bills tickets over the phone. Got those easily (can't remember the section. Something like 149). I was able to get some in the 400 level/SW corner for the Bucs game online.
  6. sounds like packers tickets at $60 went pretty quickly.
  7. Yeah, I got in way before online.
  8. In case anyone is going to use the automated line and wants to save a little time, here's what to do: -Press 1 for all NFL games when it starts to give you options -Press 3 for the Bears -Press 3 to select by opponent -Press a number 1-10 followed by # for the specific opponent. They're ordered by date, so San Diego (preseason) is 1, Buffalo is 5, and the Packers are 10
  9. Anyone listening to the Iowa game? Gameday said there was an injury delay right before Ligtenberg replaced Cherry to start the 6th. They did a double switch the half inning before so Auggie could hit in the 9th spot. Cherry only went an inning.
  10. Questions Stephen A. Smith would have asked Dusty: 1) Why don't people recognize you for your greatness? 2) Is it hard being so great? 3) Why don't people recognize me for my greatness? 4) Do you believe in curses? 5) Why don't people recognize you for your greatness? It's pretty sad that the producer still has to post on message boards to get an audience. Hasn't it been on for over a year? The guy has been doing it since the beginning.
  11. Aww, Emanuel is pitching in game 2.
  12. Speaking of Jackson Melian, wasn't he the guy that, while traveling on a team bus, witnessed both of his parents die in a car accident? I don't believe he witnessed it, but they did drive by the scene of the accident shortly after it happened.
  13. Apparently Junior Spivey is still alive and playing for Memphis. Despite doubling against Ryu, he has a .607 OPS this season in 201 ABs.
  14. 6/23: 7-6 6/28: 5-9 7/04: 9-6 7/10: 9-4 7/15: 6-5 7/20: 2-4 38-34 by my count. Here are the totals post-promotion from minorleaguesplits.com through his 7/15 start: Ground balls - 37 Line drives - 7 Fly balls - 28 And at Peoria: Ground balls - 58 Line drives - 25 Fly balls - 64 That total is especially hurt by a 4-1-13 game against Beloit at the beginning of the season.
  15. There's an automated line that they're now pushing for quick access for big events this weekend (although I didn't see it online). The number is 866-448-7849. Might be worth a shot first.
  16. I'm pretty sure Ryu hurt his ankle and is probably out for the year viewtopic.php?t=33803 He should be good to go. Quade didn't think it would be much longer and he has been able to throw.
  17. You can buy the expensive club seats today via presale (password is "bears").
  18. Colvin with a solo HR in the 4th.
  19. 2-4 GO-FO for Veal, by the way.
  20. Veal so far: 5 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 9 K, WP
  21. I seem to recall some very impressive curves that he unleashed in Cactus League games, but it was inconsistent (of course, it was only March). But that's good to hear. It's been hard to judge his season so far since he hasn't made more than 4 consecutive starts at Iowa without going up to the majors, but considering he's healthy, it's hard not to be optimistic about him.
  22. A little more on Guzman: I'd be interested to know when they made that decision. And it doesn't look as bleak for Ryu:
