    NU takes down the mighty Wheaton Thunder 41-39 after they survive a last second 3. Yes, 41-39. Yes, Wheaton. I tuned in with 13 minutes to go and NU was down 23-22 with 13 minutes to go. This team does nothing but play to the level of their opponents.

    Well that's some...interesting...reasoning to throw well over a hundred million and 8 years at a 31-year-old high power, low OBP leadoff hitter. And Hendry is right about Marquis' two horrible months. His June (8.40 ERA) and September (7.25 ERA) really overshadowed his April (5.04 ERA), May (4.45 ERA), July (5.26 ERA), and August (6.75 ERA).

    Pagan hasn't even shown an ability to be an effective base stealer (72.4% in the minors, 66.6% at AAA). He doesn't really offer much of anything special.

    Bad minor leaguers usually don't get shots in the majors. They seem to get some with the Cubs, though. Heck, one turned into a bad major leaguer and received back-to-back multi-year deals from Hendry.

    According to the radio, it wasn't a "medical issue" that was keeping Jones from getting more carries. And that was after it was reported that he hurt his ankle. Of course, I still can't believe he didn't get yanked after his unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

    YouTubers love their Hester. My clips may or may not be #1 and #2. Thomas Jones did indeed hurt his ankle. He's listed as questionable.

    The Bears added safety Nick Turnbull, who was waved from Atlanta, to the roster. An additional week away, but Kevin Jones is out for the season for the Lions with a broken foot.

    Quite possibly 6. The receivers coach ripped into him pretty good on the sidelines after that play, according to WBBM.

    One more game without Vasher would be fine, especially to develop others. But I wouldn't want him to miss any more. He might be a little rusty with just one game before a first round bye.
