not sure what you mean. Should be a bigger story. Everyone had ameltdown when they were even let in the tourney. ANd they played an extra game in the tourney. And they've beaten only major conference teams. And with the exception of FSU, they've kind of pounded them (I dont remember the score of the USC game.) It's pretty crazy. I think the reason why Mason was a bigger story was because they were the first mid-major team in an extremely long time to make the Final Four. The landscape of college basketball was also much better as they beat MSU, UNC and UConn on the way to the Final Four. I remember being completely shocked that they beat UConn to advance to the FF. I was obviously surprised that VCU won today, but nowhere near the same level as when Mason did it a few years ago. What was shocking to me about that George Mason/UConn game was that Mason was down almost the entire game. They needed a late second half run to gain the lead, only to lose the lead on a backbreaking buzzer beating layup, then played an almost perfect OT to win the game.
