  1. I agree. This is the worst year I can recall. Out of 7 total series, there was only 1 worth watching. This year's postseason had only 4 games over the minimum. The last two years left something to be desired, after the amazing postseasons of 2003, 2004, and 2005.
  2. More scary than Soriano, Lee, ARod, Ramirez?
  3. LOL, sure, if we can increase our payroll by $30 mil per year.
  4. Gotta hate those rally killing 3-run HR's.
  5. I'd make it game 7 (if necessary) at a neutral site, instead of game 1. Then it will have the appeal of a winner-take-all one game championship event. Not sure if it will be logistically possible, however.
  6. This game is over. I can't believe I would be so bored watching the postseason, but this year has done it. What a bunch of boring games. *click*
  7. Why does Jeff Francis always look worried?
  8. So Tim McCarver, do you still think that a greater percentage multi-run innings start with a walk than a home run?
  9. Not even Dusty will do that.
  10. I know some of you are trying to buy tickets cause you actually want to go to the game, but it's a real shame if some of you want to buy tickets just to sell them and jack up the price for real Rockies fans.
  11. They have $$ and they spend it well. So to put it in conclusion: They scout well. They draft well. And they still have Tom Brady. Last time I checked, that's all you need. Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox....must be good to be living in Boston. Oh, forgot Boston College.

  13. Just stumbled over her unscripted words.
  14. Any idea why they don't do the trophy presentation in front of their fans? Geez.
  15. And the bad call cost the Indians a run.
  16. Hopefully Arod, Posada, and Rivera give management the finger on the way to free agency. We already got a catcher!
  17. Same here. Definitely not pulling too hard for the Sox, but none of the three remaining taking this would bother me at all. Good for the Rox. I was really feeling bad for them by the time they got done getting swept out of Chicago. They went on to blow some pretty painful games after that. This has been a fun run to watch. This is the first time since the total apathy of '02 that the World Series winner will not be completely unbearable. If you're semi-okay with the Red Sox winning this year, why was them winning in 2004 unbearable? I mean, not only did they complete the biggest comeback in the history of baseball in the ALCS but they dominated the Cardinals in the World Series. I was totally fine with the Red Sox winning it all in 2004 since they dispatched the Yankees and the Cardinals. And they also put an end to the whole "Curse of the Bambino" nonsense to boot. We are now spared years of all of that talk.
  18. I believe it's any penalty called on an offense When I was at the Northwestern vs. Duke game, Northwestern was driving in the last minute down 6 points. NW's QB committed an intentional grounding penalty and there was no runoff. This struck me as kinda odd, so my thinking was that there is no runoff for offensive penalties in that situation. But it's kinda weird since it allows an offensive player to commit an intentional penalty to stop the clock. It's kinda like fouling intentionally in basketball.
  19. I've been a Red Sox fan almost as long as I've been a Cub fan. Always felt like they had a lot in common. Hahahahaha....Red Sox and Cubs have a lot in common? Hahahahaha. Notice I said had, not have. They're polar opposites today. They actually know how to hit. The fanbase, passion for the team, vintage ballparks, and the "curses." Every Red Sox fan I've met can't stand the Cubs. To hell with them. Boy, that 2/3 from 2005 must really sting. FWIW, I hate the Red Sox as well. I get depressed every time I see Fenway.
  20. I would love it if Eric Byrnes made the final out.
  21. That Rockies fan in the background jumping up and down on every pitch is pissing me off. Cocaine is a helluva drug.
  22. This clinches it. Fuentes WILL be a Cub next year.
  23. According to Brenly, he said it to his team in a pre-game meeting today. This is in addition to his proclaimation that the Rockies weren't good, just lucky. As I said, have a great winter, you shaggy-haired, arm-flapping, mouthbreathing douche. Don't worry guys, he'll try to amuse us by trying to find his dog in water! What a clown. Actually, as far as a tv personality goes, he's a lot better and more engaging than a lot of people.
