    I think Olympic basketball benefited because the NBA season did not overlap with the Summer Olympics. This allowed NBA players to participate in the Olympics. I don't see the NBA suspending its season so players can play in the Olympics like the NHL does.

    You have the crown jewel of soccer being a World Cup championship. Basketball and Hockey at the Olympics are a huge deal as well. What happened to international baseball? It's not like there's a shortage of countries playing the sport like football. You got Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Canada, USA, Venezuela, and Dominican Republic among a few others. I understand that the WBC is making large strides in making international baseball relevant, but even then players such as Gary Sheffield say he would never respect his club team to play in the WBC. in order for baseball to grow around the world, I think that the international game must have appeal.

    Got to find him more playing time somehow. Especially with Soriano out, could use more pop in the lineup.

    Maybe they are just that good? Maybe the Cardinals didn't get more help during the offseason because they recognized the potential of their own players? Just a thought.

We should ask Yost if he'll consider it. not only that but he should require the 110 pitch minimum for sabathia btw the brewerfan board is very sensitive, i was banned before i ever posted because in my profile i stated i was a cub fan...no joke can't even see the website any longer, my IP is blocked...quite silly Wow, that's ridiculous. And yet, NSBB seems to enjoy members like brewersbrewers to post some all-in-fun banter.
