Hmm ... I thought Notre Dame sells out every game, so demand greatly exceeds supply. I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but they sell out almost every single game. Those people standing across the street are selling tickets that have technically been sold by the university already. I should add, you can get the tix at face. If you're not wise, you can also get them for almost 2 times face. So why don't those people standing across the street just go to the game? They are right there after all. Why does anyone scalp tickets ever? 1) Something came up and they can't go 2) Want to make some money selling for more than they paid I agree with the first point, though if you can't go chances are you aren't outside the stadium right before gametime trying to sell off your tickets. I have a hard time believing the second point, since the tickets are going for face or less than face. Unless the scalpers are middle-men and got their tickets for even cheaper somehow, but I can't think of how that's possible.
