Last I heard the team wasn't going to bring him back and the fans and players were doing all they could to change that. I never heard what happened. It's been a couple months. Japanese baseball needs Valentine. I hope he stays there.
Lou just couldn't get over the fact the Dodgers didn't throw one LHP at the Cubs last season, so he wanted to get more left-handed. Well, what's the point in getting more left-handed if it makes you worse? Isn't the purpose to put the best team out on the field, not the best left-handed team?
I hope some of you call into the postgame show with the absolutely brutal decisions this game. I have little faith in casual Cub fans making it known just how poor Lou's decisionmaking is and just how much Miles sucks.
7 games back. This team isn't capable of erasing that type of lead. But we were capable of coming back from 6? I think people were praying to somehow pickup a game or two this weekend. 4 games back with games in hand and three against STL isn't so bad. Tonight was an important night because the Dodgers have not been playing well and many felt this is one of the games we had the pitching advantage. Phillies were not playing well when they came to Wrigley. Padres were not playing well coming into the last series. Dodgers were not playing well coming into this series. If you want to break out of your slumps, schedule the Cubs!
U mean nothing good has happened since he came off the DL, right? I meant that this is what happened: Miles makes 3rd out of inning, then Dodgers went single, single, sac bunt (their decision), IBB, grand slam. Miles is a virus.
