  1. I feel so bad for Z right now. WTF happened to this team?
  2. I was going to lose it if they talked about or showed Manny's homer one more time.
  3. Unfortunately, that's pretty much what it comes down to. I appreciate Dempster's great play this season, but to me, that's past history at this point. Seven walks? To me, while the offense could have done more, and Soriano needs to put something on the board, that walk total is totally unacceptable by any account.
  4. The frustrating aspect is they'll keep throwing him the same pitch over and over and over, you'd think Perry or Lou would say something to him. You'd definitely think they'd be saying something, which makes me wonder even more.
  5. Soriano is just such a huge key for the offense taking flight on this team and in this lineup. It's because of this that I find myself getting way too worked up when he swings at absolute garbage.
  6. Is there a single Cubs fan that does? Lou likes him and wants him there, period. Hope it doesn't come back to haunt him and us.
  7. Yeah, too bad there's not a local option for that.
  8. I think he has said it... he feels that Howry is the one to give "experience and leadership" to the bullpen. Never mind that he's terrible.
  9. Poor furry animal.....
  10. Twins, if they make it. If not, the Red Sox.
  11. That's exactly it. I am a die-hard Cubs fan, have been all my life. I don't care one bit about the Sox, but they have a strange obsession about the Cubs. Odd.
  12. Me, too, even when we make the playoffs. Maybe it's more summer ending? Baseball is my No. 1 sport, and nothing else fills it for me.
  13. They can do it, they have everything they need. I'm hoping they come out swinging hard and pitching great.... we'll sail through.
  14. Ha ha... at least it would explain things!
  15. I liked him when he was with the Cubs, but as an announcer, annoying.
  16. Doesn't the article say Ernie has kids and grand kids (twin sons and two grandkids???)
  17. No, no, no!!!! We need DeRo's versatility going into the playoffs.
  18. What the heck, don't we have a guy the same age running for president? Personally, I would not want to do either at that age, but more power to you if you do!
  19. After today--Saturday-- (as if the other Brewers-Cubs game weren't enough), I really don't think I can look at Prince Fielder again til April. I hope the Brewers don't make it!
  20. Don't hassle the Hoff! 8-)
  21. Soto, Dero.... say it isn't so!
  22. My guess would be that he did it for his wife, and good for them! I'm not sure about this, but don't they have pretty tight age restrictions on international adoptions? Domestic might have been there only way. Best wishes to them.
  23. Not to get into stats, just more of a personal preference, I'd go with the Dodgers. Just a gut feeling thing.
  24. Lou's obsessed with Howry's experience... he's said it more than once. Marquis didn't do as good as I hoped out of the bullpen today, so I hope he can smooth things out there. The bullpen is fairly shaky right now..... hopefully we won't need them much!
