Just so our man Theo knows According to one National League executive, neither Albert Pujols nor Prince Fielder will sign for more than $200 million this offseason, and Fielder will sign for less than what Adrian Gonzalez signed for in Boston (eight-years, $154 million). The consensus is that Pujols will receive somewhere in the neighborhood of what he was reportedly offered from the Cardinals earlier this year despite his strong October. Fielder who is said to have turned down a $120 million, six-year offer that included a buyout from the Brewers, is also unlikely to see Adrian Gonzalez type money. Teams mentioned as possible landing spots included the Orioles, Blue Jays, Nationals, Cubs, Rangers, Giants, Dodgers, Angels and Mariners. Assuming Fielder is willing to DH, the Yankees could also be in the mix for his services.
