  1. Rizzo gets screwed out of a double by the ump
  2. WTF..How about he splits time with Barney?
  3. Olt just doubled and is 1-3 with 2 RBI's...Not sure how he looks in the field though today.
  4. Almora coming up with the bases juiced!
  5. Olt K on 3 pitches. :(
  6. Olt Time. Bring em home!
  7. Can we just trade Barney already and have Olt at 3B and Valbuena at 2nd w/ Murphy getting the occasional start? That offers way more offensive upside and sets the table for Baez when he's ready. It only makes sense. Time to get rid of the GRIT.
  8. Exactly..If we can get any type of return for Barney like we did for Campana or the Pinyero for Hairston trade, Take it and run! I always forget we have Alcantara waiting in the wings too. So much depth. Infield of a Back to form Mike Olt, Castro, Baez and Rizzo makes me need to change pants. Besides Castro, all others capable of putting up 30 plus HR's...Jesus
  9. Olt's last out was smoked to LF, but the Outfielder had a great jump on it...He's seeing the ball real well..You gotta think he makes the 25 man..Then what about the logjam of Murphy,Barney and Valbuena? Someone is gonna have to get moved.
  10. Roto FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reports that the Marlins are shopping starting pitcher Jacob Turner. The Marlins have starting pitching depth and long-term needs at second base and first base, so they're trying to do some roster shifting. Turner, a first-round pick (ninth overall) in 2009, posted a 3.74 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 118 innings last season for Miami. A trade of Turner would clear the way for an early-season promotion of Marlins top pitching prospect Andrew Heaney. Only 22, I'm sure Theo and Jed would love to get him since he would fit in with our plan. Wonder what it would take? Barney and a couple other positional prospects?
  11. Had to change the pants after that one..Oh boy
  12. Even though that was an out, Javy smoked the [expletive] out of the ball.
  13. Baez Doubleeeeeeee =D> So sexy
  14. Bonafacio! Barney can suck it!
  15. They pretty much went balls out and pulled out everything they can think of for Tanaka to woo him -Cashman said video was in part like 'MTV Cribs', showing Tanaka the home clubhouse at the Stadium. -Part of Yanks' meeting with Tanaka was a video with graphics on how they project his stuff to play in Yankee Stadium -So Matsui not only called Tanaka, he appeared in a recruiting video the Yanks showed Tanaka, too.
  16. Saw one report we were at 150 million. The Dodgers were roughly around the same, they said no way to a No-Trade clause and he balked at it and went to the Full no trade clause and 4 year opt out. The guy did pretty damn well for himself.
  17. They were REALLY pushing the Matsui, Ichiro and Kuroda thing on him. The meeting lasted between two and three hours, a source said, and it wasn't the Yanks' only bit of recruiting. Former Yankee Hideki Matsui, the best Japanese player to ever don pinstripes, called Tanaka to pitch the benefits of the Bronx, too. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/tanaka-yankees-agree-155m-deal-article-1.1587478#ixzz2r9fIMSN4 Anthony McCarron ‏@AnthonyMcCarron 8m So Matsui not only called Tanaka, he appeared in a recruiting video the Yanks showed Tanaka, too.
  18. CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that Masahiro Tanaka received a full no-trade clause in his contract with the Yankees.
  19. Rotoworld John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that Masahiro Tanaka's preferred designations "going in" to negotiations are Los Angeles, New York and Boston. It's obvious that he prefers a big market, which is good because most of the teams capable of bidding on him are in big markets. Ultimately, though, Tanaka is likely going to go where the money takes him, so Shea's report probably doesn't mean a whole lot. The Dodgers, Cubs, Yankees, Mariners and Diamondbacks are among the teams expected to pursue the Japanese right-hander.
  20. Jesse Rogers ‏@ESPNChiCubs 3h “Samardzija done after 7 shutout innings…coincidence Pirate scout leaves game as well. #kidding”
  21. How in the hell is Barney batting ahead of Castillo? Barney is atrocious, I'd take anything for him to give someone else a chance at this point.
  22. Here's a quick wrote up on Black on a Yankees blog similar to BN 29) Corey Black – RHP, 21 – HiA – 2016 A 4th round pick this year, Black can bring the heat. Though just 5’11, 180 pounds he can throw the ball from 96-99 MPH with some movement. He made 12 starts across 3 levels, limiting hitters to a .222 BA and struck out 50 in 52 ip. His breaking pitches lack consistency but he has a nice Changeup which is his #2 pitch. He could rocket up the system with his FB/Change combo as a reliever but the Yanks will likely try to develop him as a starter since they are flush with RH relievers. Borrell: “We had him at 96-99 in Charleston, although reports were he got up to 100 mph, I didn’t see it he has a special arm and for our scouts to get a guy like him in that round (4th) is impressive.”
