    I would guess that it curtails any concerns a GM might have that Maddux has lost it. Someone like Omar Minaya is probably taking a hard look at the situation. It seems his only option would be to give up Lastings Milledge to get Zito or look to Maddux and give up a lesser prospect or two depending on the deal.

    No and yes. He stole home due to the fact there was a rundown (Cedeno) between first and second allowing Pagan to steal home. Note: There was a balk and each runner should have moved up. But, the umps missed the call.

You may actually be able to fool someone who thinks he can hit with pressure on. So all the pressure was on him at the beginning of the season? If I recall correctly, everyone sucked at the beginning of the year. The Cubs had a winning April. I consider April & May the "beginning of the year." Then that eliminates Jacque Jones from "everyone".

    Why do you say that? Pay Rasie (Perez) Pagan saiuance (Pagan) Sherriff opf Mabry (Mabry Arei n the the lineup. I assumed those were the three points of contention. But, they have done well the past few days. Perez did have a good game on Thursday. Pagan went 3-4 yesterday. And Mabry hit the game tying homer yesterday. Note: I never advocate starting Neifi. I would rather see Murton over Pagan, but I do think Pagan should play base on yesterday. Maby or Nevin...it doesn't even matter since I don't see Nevin being traded since DLee is out.(Actually, I'd rather see Walker at first.)

    Nick Adenhart at MiLB.com Hendry scares me. The Angels have some good young prospects and he reportedly zeros in on a single A pitcher with a new elbow. I guess Hendry likes the current Cub offense enough to go shopping for more young pitchers.

    If Stark is right and the Rangers were to acquire Tejada then that would be a major coup. That mentioned Tejada to the Dodgers. Would they have him play third if it was to happen? I like the fact they mentioned Izturis to the Orioles in this rumor. Keep him away from the Cubs. But, then again it seems the Cubs like to trade with Baltimore. So he would eventually become a Cub.

    LOL, that's wrong on both counts. Cards are 0-5 vs. the Cubs and 0-3 vs. the Sox. Wow...I have no idea where I got that from. I think I really need a job that requires me to work in the summers. My brain rots from June-August.
