  1. That's the second time this season (that I know of) where he has had Bruce bunt. Bruce never even had a bunt attempt in the minors for obvious reasons.
  2. The Rockies??? The Rockies are on the list and the Dodgers, but the Marlins fall in "the rest"?
  3. Double play....run scores. 2-0 Cards
  4. 1-0 Cardinals on a hit by Pujols. Still bottom of the 1st no outs with 1st and 2nd.
  5. Matt Thornton was on the Score670 today and he was saying how everyone in the Sox dugout was just surprised to see Aramis struggling in the series. He mentioned how they talked about how Aramis just didn't look ready to play. I guess they knew something was up with him because they couldn't believe that they would just be able to shut him down offensively.
  6. That's pretty bad, but his minor league numbers and youth make me think he won't stay that bad. Last year's mvp of the Futures Game. It funny to read the posters at dodgerblues rail on Hu.
  7. http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=429447 Manny apologized for the incident and ESPN is reporting that no disciplinary action will be taken. Although Francona is expected to meet with the media shortly.
  8. No way. Sabean made the commitment in the offseason to build around Lincicum and Cain, and the Giants have actually been better than most predicted this season. No reason he'll bail on the plan now. I can't see them doing that either. They have the potential to be much improved over the next few years. They actually have some good pitching prospects. With Cain & Lincecum already there and if all works out they would add Madison Bumgarner and Henry Sosa to the rotation. Plus, they have a strong arm in Tim Alderson for the bullpen. So, as of right now the future looks good for them. Supposedly, Sabean said he would be patient with the farm system. He may get impatient and decide to part with some of these guys, but I'd be surprised if it was this year.
  9. So I'm guessing that the Crede fan revisited that message board and added some remarks about Aramis' great weekend series at the Cell.
  10. I don't think so because he requested 4 days, but the Cubs only granted him 3. So, the Sunday night game probably cost Aramis that extra evening with his family. But, I don't think it costed him any extra lost time with the Cubs.
  11. San Francisco is a very bad baseball team. We could easily win 3 out of 4 o all 4 without Aramis. I fear going into a series like this with the injuries & facing both Cain and Lincecum.
  12. Randy Winn has the most at bats and hits off Lilly. Isn't Winn injured?
  13. Trammell took on the post game press conference duties. I haven't seen any interviews with Lou.
  14. It's important to win tomorrow and the game against Correia with Cain and Lincecum also going in the series.
  15. Well, the cubs won't have to worry about too many homers in SF atleast they shouldn't.
  16. How to suggest young players with limited mlb experience on the scrap heap, imo.
  17. It will be more painful when Will Inman is up for the Padres.
  18. I was at Friday's game and was in the stadium club before the game. I happen to know one of the servers their and she was saying how overwhelmed the serving staff was since they had not experienced a crowd like they were experiencing at that moment.
