    Cubs roster is unbalanced with or without Pie, (Jones, Floyd & Ward) are essentially taking up one spot, (corner OF'er from left but), but circumstances will dictate whether Pie remains after Guzman's call up. The question is whether Saturday's and hopefully today's performance of Jones in CF will engineer an early season trade or will the Cubs have to showcase Jones through May to get rid of him. If-I-where-king-for-a-day(IIWKFAD) I would find a way to trade Jones for for Reggie Sanders of KC where playing Floyd in RF could be platooned and then at least Cubs have an experienced RF'er and one who is experienced. What to do with Murton is the question? Trade Jones! His stock has never been higher after Saturday!

    There was this big sporting event today, maybe you've heard of it... I hate football. Dont expect anything tomorrow, either.. with the Bulls game & all. The Bulls game ends at 2 or 2:30. The Cubs game starts at 7. It shouldn't be a problem.

    This is the same Cardinals team that has weaknesses in both pitching and offense, right? After losing 2 of 3 to them last weekend, we need to take 2 of 3 from them this weekend. They've only won 3 games at home this year...please god don't let us let them double that number this weekend. You are masters at "Waking up the opposing team". Hopefully we keep'em sleeping. Dream on bro...

    I'm sure someone will, plus you can follow the game on MiLB's Gamecast. The game isn't for another 6 hours though. I'm off to see Gooz pitch! Bold prediction: Gooz has a quality start with no offensive support and ends up getting a ND. That's the Chicago Cubs, not the Iowa Cubs. :wink:

    Yup, today's homer broke McGriff's record and Sosa now has gone yard in 44 ballparks. Does anyhave a list of parks he has homered in? Or parks he hadsn't homered in? I'd like to see how much higher he can push this. He's homered at Wrigley. Yeah I know. 8-)

    Pittsburgh won 5-3. St. Louis up 7-5 in top 9 with a rain delay. Not sure if they'll finish the game.

    Any chance he gets DFA'd in order to improve the ballclub? He seems like a deadweight without hope of improvement. Who would we call up? Also, if we DFA him, do we still have to pay him?
