  1. The only one that would compete with Ledger would be Hamill. Jack's version was just Jack. I don't think he actually brought anything unique to the character. And honestly the whole Tim Burton version has really aged.
  2. I thought it was just the media that was mad at Brian for his "curt" answers. It was his way of expressing anger with them over some stories that were written. I'm not sure why fans would be too upset about that. Even when he is talking, Brian isn't a really awesome interview or anything.
  3. This could include something about Ned Yost's decision to platoon his 5th starters based on Home/Road performance.
  4. To be fair, only 4 first rounders have signed, and the article in the Trib this morning said that they are close with Williams...of course the same article was pessimistic about the Urlacher deal being close.
  5. That's a big trade for teh Saints. Brees loves to throw to his TE (she Stratton and Gates). Now they have Bush coming out of the backfield, Shockey coming off the line, and Colston lined up out wide. I was gonna say he has to be on the field for that, but apparently he's played a lot more than I realize. Seems like he's always fighting some injury, and he's never played 16 games in a season, but he's played 15 in all but 2 seasons, and 14 in one of those.

I think you will too. The Mid Launch Plus clubs have been fantastic for me. My iron game right now is fantastic. I used to be a long drive good putter type without trying to mess up in between, now my iron game is my biggest strength. I'm just hoping they are durable, my beginner clubs after 5+ years are still in great shape, I hope these can do that as well. I'm happy that Banedon put that site in this thread before he was ratted out to the man. Stick it to the man!
  7. They are doing some Chicago Sports past present future thingy.
  8. Maybe he wants to win. Too late now. Contrary to popular belief, the Bears are not as bad as some think. The Bears still have their Super Bowl caliber defense intact. If the Offense is even remotely average, the Bears should and could challenge for best in the NFC. Yeah, I said it..... In Jerry Angelo's best voice on B/B, "NO." The offense won't be remotely average. Average line, bad QB, bad RB, bad receivers=bad offense. You're assuming a lot in that last sentence though. There's much more unknown than there is bad in the offense. I don't think you (or I) can say with any certainty what the skill level will be at RB or the line. The receivers are probably bad to below average, and QB can be debated ad nauseum...though I don't think anyone is will to go much above average in their assessment of it. I think it's distinctly possible the offense can be an average one.
  9. it feels good to be right, doesn't it Come on. At least let him say something out of line before getting all on his case about it. There's no need to start something where there was nothing. EDIT: I read further back in the thread...both of you need to chill out a bit...
  10. Josh Groban can belt, but he takes any song and slows it by about a factor of 4.
  11. You don't think there's more surface area with a glove to stop a ball? What I'm saying is that if your reaction time is so small that you can't get both hands up, then you're not going to get the glove up unless you're poised and ready to react like an infielder(which no one is while they're watching the game). I don't have a problem with ppl bringing gloves, (though I don't do it myself), but I can probably agree with what you're saying here. I think if you do react in time the glove might help, but yeah, few people probably have the reaction time for it to matter.

  13. Guys, the question isn't why won't YOU do it...the question is why can't OTHERS do it. You might not wanna lug the glove around, but if someone else doesn't mind, what's the big deal?
  14. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say there's slightly more talent on the ASG roster than the Mariners...perhaps...maybe. Yeah, but the Mariners don't have to play a team of all-stars every game. It's all relative. Seriously, the article makes it sound like his speech is actually the reason they win every year. If so, someone on the NL team needs to step up and get nasty. For real. The MLB marketing campaign may try to beef up the ASG with the "This time it's for real" slogan, but truth is that these guys don't play together all the time, and they probably are pretty damn nervous out there. I wouldn't be surprised if his speech doesn't loosen those guys up and put a little fire into a game that probably normally doesn't have much. Of course there's no measurable way to determine whether this has an effect... I just posted it cuz it was funny.

  16. Unfortunately that would probably spell the end of it.

  18. It's one thing for fans to do it. It's another thing for team employees to do it.

Looks awesome. But, I won't be golfing there at those prices. Heck, I can go to Torrey Pines for $45. If you can get us a good deal, I'll golf with ya. And if you get me a flight, I will too.
  20. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/07/14/toronto-blue-jays-fans-ta_n_112702.html I know it's cruel, but I have to admit, I laughed.

The best slice advice (that has helped me immensely) is to make sure you roll your hands over. Swing your driver like a baseball bat. You naturally roll your hands over. Swing again and again gradually lowering the club. Make sure you have the same hands rolling over feeling on each one. If you still are having trouble, deliberately try to roll your hands over so much that you're hooking the ball left. It's easier to correct a closed face than an open one.
  22. It makes me laugh :-) As a Packers fan and owner, this makes me puke. Welcome to the board!
  23. And somewhere in Chicago Ronnie Woo Woo sheds a single tear. . . I don't agree with the whole "no glove" rule thing, but if you're using Ronnie Woo Woo to show that wearing a full uniform isn't lame, I don't think that's a winning argument :P

They have different clubs based on different manufacturers designs, so pick your fave. I've got the commands (based on TaylorMade R7's). I have hybrid 3-5. Stiff shafts. Graphite on the hybrids. Steel on the irons 6,7,8,9,PW,SW. The hybrids have moveable weights so you can draw weight them if you need to. The irons also seem to have weight in the club head and that makes it easier for me, personally, to swing down through the ball rather than top them off. It's not a magic fix for your golf game, but I'm a more confident ball striker. I still slice some, and I still will hit off the toe sometimes when I setup too far away or something. But the only times that I top off now are when I: 1) Bring my head up cuz I'm trying to crush the ball into the next county or 2) I'm on a funky side-hill or downhill lie. Took about 5 business days from order to arrival, and I really don't have a complaint, except that I ordered stiff shafts, and I probably should've ordered regular.
