  1. Usually I like Teddy, but that's really dumb if that really was him.
  2. Well crap...now who are we gonna get to play center when we get Dunn for Fukudome and Stevens?
  3. What if one calls heads and the other calls tails? I hope to hell they have a fight during the coin toss. I'd throw in an extra first round draft pick for that. You think David Haugh reads our message board?
  4. As an ace, no. As a back of the rotation starter, yes. He's been pitching well long enough now to prove that it's not a fluke. So did Rich Hill This is completely and totally subjective, but Rich always looked like he was about to hurl from nervousness when he was out there. I think he always a headcase waiting to happen. Wells looks and talks like he's confident, but realistic about himself. I don't think the situation is comparable. Wells may fail in the long run, but I don't think it will be anything close to the Hill situation. And he certainly won't have come in with the Rich Hill hype.
  5. Except that radio guys and now Hub Arkush are repeating the same stories that they've gotten in each other's faces and had a confrontation. All Score guys. When guys like David Haugh or Brad Biggs start saying that this confrontation happened, then I'll start to buy in. (BTW, hilarious that the Sun-Times had Dan McNeil, a Score guy, write the article on this today.) But Hub has always struck me as pretty bitter about losing the Bears announcer job, so I pretty much take everything he says with a massive amount of skepticism. I think Urlacher was probably drunk in Vegas, and said something to Bobby. I don't think it was put exactly the way Bobby said....even he said "he pretty much called him a ***sy"....not exactly a direct quotation. In any case, I think it was probably something about the way the Denver thing went down, not about his play abilities. But the OTA confrontation story sounds like a couple of guys over there stirring the pot.

  7. I just like how we're treating the word of Bobby Wade, and single source reporting as though it's infallibly accurate. If it was true, all Urlacher has to say is "Yeah, I was drunk, and playing around. I call a lot of people "[expletive]". I'm a football player." But whatever. Even if it's all true...it's a non-issue. They're football players that will never be on the field at the same time. Big whoop.
  8. I'm not listening to the show. Who's making the claim that this confrontation happened? Boers or Bernstein? Benson was a rookie running his mouth. Cutler was a massive trade that hugely upgrades a position. There's a difference between giving a rookie a rough time, and calling out your new star QB. And again, why is the Score the only one that has this story? Nobody but them saw this thing?
  9. No sarcasm. I just think it's all BS. Terry Boers is only one that saw this mysterious confrontation? Whatever. And it's only mentioned the day that Bobby Wade makes his comments?
  10. Read the Urlacher quote above. The OTA confrontation didn't happen.
  11. Ahhh....so it's MNBSFSPWLSEW. Gotcha.
  12. Is the Favre love already returning for GB fans?
  13. Welcome to 2 years ago. ;) viewtopic.php?p=1274051#p1274051
  14. Publically...but who knows what is said when he and Bobby Wade get all crazy in Vegas.
  15. Non-issue. They're never on the field at the same time. I don't care if the entire defense hates the entire offense and vice-versa.
  16. That's a ridiculous statement. It's been much more split down the middle. It isn't a few "scattered dissenters". This is a good example of what just about every "Soriano Lead Off" thread has looked like. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=40919&hilit=soriano
  17. I don't think it affects the Halladay situation. Halladay's price is already very high...I don't think it goes up from there. Riccardi doesn't seem to be desperate to trade him..but rather, will either get the high price he's seeking, or won't trade him at all.
  18. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi-29-cubs-brite-chicago-jul29,0,2519343.story Oh please, keep going down this road, Latroy.
  19. Man it seems like someone we know told us something like this...man, who was that? Oh...yeah... :D)
  20. so why is it if personal attacks in game threads can give you stern warnings, but clowns like this, who add nothing to the board but personal attacks never seem to get the old slap on the wrist? We have a list of certain people we moderate and everyone else just gets to do whatever they want. It definitely has nothing to do with the warning system not being a public device...nope...huh uh. BTW, no personal attacks like the bolded please.
  21. God you're a troll. He may or may not be, but if he is, it's not because of that post.
  22. Worth reposting...ESPN preseason rank for the Vikings at #9: The Viking fan hate toward Favre just doubled.
  23. Waiting for the day a player says, "I'm really screwed up right now. I'm pretty sure I will be out for longer than people think. I hate rehab and I know that won't go very well." "But it'll be nice to get paid while I'm sitting at home on the couch for a while"
