Huh...I'm surprised we're having a backup QB conversation. I thought Hanie actually looked pretty decent. In fact, I don't think Orton would've been able to make that TD pass that Hanie made while running toward the sideline. -

If the defense plays as well as it did last night, the Bears will deal with Cutler's picks just fine. Grossman and Orton threw their share of picks too, just without the positives we'll get from Cutler. I fully expect less picks over the years as he matures more (as a QB). Alfalava was very impressive last night. Very "Mike Brown-esque". By the way, I don't blame Cutler for trying to force things in a preseason game. On the one where he threw the pick...what is he supposed to do? Eat the ball and take a sack in a preseason game? No chance. Throw the ball and avoid getting hit...I don't want Cutler hurt in a preseason game. -
Brutal. You can say "it's only the preseason"...but he's not going to face any easier defensive schemes than what he sees in the preseason. 3 INT's in 3 possessions? There's no good way to put a positive spin on that. It's bad.

It's also when they were made. If they were made late, and when they were behind and trying to force things because the defense couldn't keep the other team from moving the ball, well that's different too.

One was a playoff game, one wasn't. One (supposedly) cost the Cubs a significant out in a game that could have sent the Cubs to the WS. One didn't. It's the circumstances that made Bartman memorable.

Hmm, wonder why it was removed. Clearly someone who has an axe to grind with Cutler. Or just someone who has hated the Bears since a certain day in 2006. That was my thought...and although he denies it in the comments, that's what I'm sticking with.

It did say "barring an impressive offseason". I'd say this was about as impressive as could possibly be expected. EDIT: Actually, reading that post more, Jersey was dead on.... What the hell? I didn't edit that. Weird...that's probably my fault as I intended to edit the post ahead...not sure what happened there...sorry Raw. I just re-edited mine...if you wanna delete the post with your name on it, go ahead.... :blush:

It said "barring a very impressive offseason", which is quite frankly, exactly what we got. It wasn't perfect, but there was significant additions made. EDIT: Actually, reading that post more, Jersey was dead on....

Harris practiced last night (although it was a no pad practice) and Zaidman was saying he looked fantastic. Was very quick, and moved well. Said he was doing everything you'd want to see a starting d-lineman do in this kind of practice. Honestly, I'm more worried about the secondary than the d-line.
