Brutal. You can say "it's only the preseason"...but he's not going to face any easier defensive schemes than what he sees in the preseason. 3 INT's in 3 possessions? There's no good way to put a positive spin on that. It's bad.
It's also when they were made. If they were made late, and when they were behind and trying to force things because the defense couldn't keep the other team from moving the ball, well that's different too.
One was a playoff game, one wasn't. One (supposedly) cost the Cubs a significant out in a game that could have sent the Cubs to the WS. One didn't. It's the circumstances that made Bartman memorable.
Hmm, wonder why it was removed. Clearly someone who has an axe to grind with Cutler. Or just someone who has hated the Bears since a certain day in 2006. That was my thought...and although he denies it in the comments, that's what I'm sticking with.
These are the most awesome rankings EVER: http://74.125.47.132/search?q=cache:IL39bh14Gx0J:raisingzona.com/2009/08/08/preseason-nfl-power-rankings/+nfl+rankings&cd=13&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us EDIT: Changed link to google cache...looks like the post might have been removed.
It did say "barring an impressive offseason". I'd say this was about as impressive as could possibly be expected. EDIT: Actually, reading that post more, Jersey was dead on.... What the hell? I didn't edit that. Weird...that's probably my fault as I intended to edit the post ahead...not sure what happened there...sorry Raw. I just re-edited mine...if you wanna delete the post with your name on it, go ahead....
It said "barring a very impressive offseason", which is quite frankly, exactly what we got. It wasn't perfect, but there was significant additions made. EDIT: Actually, reading that post more, Jersey was dead on....
Yeah, there's a thread on DaBearz.com where they post all the tweets and news updates each day, but for last night's practice, this was what was posted....
Harris practiced last night (although it was a no pad practice) and Zaidman was saying he looked fantastic. Was very quick, and moved well. Said he was doing everything you'd want to see a starting d-lineman do in this kind of practice. Honestly, I'm more worried about the secondary than the d-line.
It would be just like Bud and MLB to make one stupid move to cover up another. Yes, because implimenting a system to ensure that the correct call is always made is such a horrible thing. Constant delays are. There are delays when the call is argued and players/managers are ejected. You just limit instant replay so its not used for every play.
