    NFL Week 17

The Chris Johnson vs Usain Bolt race isn't happening....Bolt's agent shot it down pretty hard.
  2. Well, if the Bears are stuck with Lovie another year, at least Cowher will still be out there. I know some of you (gooney) aren't going to be as happy about that as some.

    NFL Week 17

I would love to see that. I think Bolt would win, but CJ could give him a fight. I doubt that will be close unless it's done in pads, or they give Johnson a head start.

    NFL Week 17

Really? That's awesome. He should get the key to every other city. Well, Welker's knee blew out on it's own when trying to make a cut...Pollard was just the guy to fall on him for the tackle afterwards apparently. Still, that's not going to be the way it's going to be talked about.
  5. The Bills fire the entire coaching staff.
  6. Olsen has appeared to have route issues as well.
  7. I am surprised that Rod Marinelli's name hasn't come up in the defensive coordinator discussion. I was thinking that this morning, and I wouldn't be surprised...but in the same breath, there was no great D-line improvements until the last couple of games when everybody on O and D seemed to wake up and realize there were jobs at stake. Sure, but progress has never been a prerequisite for defensive coaching promotions on this team. I just figure it's an easy move. Add an asst d-line coach, shift Marinelli to DC, and Lovie goes back to HC only. It'll be easier to find an outside DC for the reasons you listed, and they can put all their efforts into improving the offensive staff. Yeah...well they have Babich too...and they surely won't keep paying him like a DC...maybe it's just a matter of having him and Marinelli switch spots.

  9. If they keep Lovie and fire Turner, I think I agree with a few of the columnists that Martz is a likely replacement. He's buddy-buddy with Lovie, and he would have full control of half of a football team (Lovie doesn't really touch offense at all from what I've read). I also fully expect a D-Coordinator hire, though that one will be trickier...possible lame duck coach...much more oversight from the HC than the offense will get, plus Lovie's treatment of Ron Rivera could have an affect on potential hires.
  10. Because if there's a team that hasn't been pulling crap the last few weeks, it's the Saints. Fair enough...the Colts were on TV here yesterday, and the Saints weren't...so I didn't realize they pulled the same thing. The last week of the NFL regular season sucks.
  11. I intended to root for the Colts, but I can't root for them after the "pull the starters" crap they've pulled the last few weeks. Instead, I'm adopting the Saints as my playoff team.
  12. Redskins fire Zorn. Shocking.
  13. Potentially the last game of Lovie Smith's career with the Bears? *crosses fingers*
  14. Wow. He's pretty much contradicting himself. Ha! That's funny! viewtopic.php?f=2&t=56474 :)
  15. Maybe they'll sign Elin to a deal...have her using the new "spouse tracking" feature on the AT&T family plan.
  16. Sounds like it's going to be the promotion of Buddy Nix to GM.
  17. I'm fine with trading Hester. Aromashadu has more #1 potential than Hester, imo. Bennett, Knox, and Iglesias are a good young WR mix. I'd like to see a veteran in there for them to learn from though.
  18. AT&T just dropped him. http://money.cnn.com/2009/12/31/news/companies/tiger_woods_att/index.htm Yeah I saw that this morning. I didn't even know Tiger was involved with AT&T. I didn't either but I saw on tv this morning that AT&T is the main sponsor for one of his golf tournaments. Apparently they will remain the tournament sponsor. The article says he had AT&T on his bag.

  20. Aromashadu was injured early on in the season (preseason?). That accounted for him not being in there for a chunk of the early games. He still should've gotten an opportunity earlier than he has though. Watched the Boise State-Oklahoma bowl game from a few years ago on ESPN Classic last night....gives me some hope that Iglesias can be something decent when he actually gets a chance too.
