Good lord...was there just 4 pages of Cutler arguments again? FFS. Lets all just agree that Kyle is wrong (because he is, and we all know it) and move along. If he wants to argue with himself, let him. There's a lot of things the Bears are doing today that deservers better discussion than this.

Yep. And Lovie is on a flight back to Chicago from Charlotte with Peppers and his agent. It sounds like it's gonna be Manumanaleuna, Peppers, and Taylor...and still probably a safety, though not necessarily today on that one. Angelo was a hero after the Cutler deal, a huge goat after the season, and now everybody is gonna love him again...or at least like him a whole lot more.

Player for player trades don't happen a whole heckuva lot in the NFL...seems like if teams wanna trade a guy...they want a draft pick back. I'm with jersey on this one...WR has it's issues, but a lot of it just has to do with being too young. I can deal with "too young" mistakes more than I can deal with "too terrible" mistakes, which is what is happening with the OL.

The Broncos can still trade his rights for less than that. Also, Orton got a first round tender, and Scheffler got a 2nd round tender.

I've heard they hope they can get a 2nd rounder for Marshall, and a 2nd rounder sounds about right for Olsen. Marshall is a bigger impact player but he's more expensive and a problem child. Olsen is not a problem child and signed cheaply for 2 years, and still has upside. Gotcha...so Olsen to Pats for 2nd rounder...Marshall to Bears for 2nd rounder.

If it's not Olsen for Marshall, I'm not sure how we have the ammo to get Marshall.

Broncos have Sheffler. Why would they want Olsen? Because I want them to, and Orton can't throw to anybody but tight ends. Well if your "wanting" them to is the primary consideration, I bet we could make some kickass trades this season. :)

He's 2 years away from free agency, so he needs to step it up now if he wants to get paid. It makes sense to me that he'd dislike the Martz signing, especially since Martz highlighted his preference for blocking tight ends early and often. If Olsen wasn't such a disappointment I'd be bummed about this situation, but I'm not. Led the Bears in catches and TD's last year, but yeah...I agree. He's certainly not irreplaceable, and a blocking TE could help the run game.

The other possibility is that Kaplan was mistaken. Apparently Sportscenter, citing the Kaplan blurb, said that the Bears met with Peppers himself. Nicely done ESPN. Way to report the facts.
