    I don't see any harm in having this thread. It's not like we have tons of new threads in the Other Sports forum to keep track of. And we can eventually lock this one and we'll just be back to the soccer thread anyway. It has my vote of approval.

    Oh hell yes Carroll knew. I don't know if he knew what they'd be, but he knew they'd be messy. I think there was a lot of that being said back at the time he bolted.

    I'd be lying if I said I won't be disappointed when Texas leaves the Big XII and doesn't come to the Big Ten.

    Heh...so if the Big 10 grabs Nebraska, and stops there...and the Pac 10 grabs 6 teams or so from the Big XII, should the Big Ten change their name to the Big 12? :)

    Additional ratings tidbit... Amazing what happens when you get two large market american cities in the championship. Wow...in the Chicago market the game had a 32.8 rating and a 50(!!!) share.

    Thanks for posting this. I like to know what rumor the media is going to run with for the next 24 hours as early as possible. No way that rumor will last 24 hours. There will be at least 5 new rumors during that time frame.

    I agree about Seabrook...I kinda thought he'd get some Conn Smythe discussion, but he never really did. Are there two people that are more polar opposites in personality than Toews and Kane? I don't remember if it was NBC or CSN that at the end of their interview with can told him to behave during the celebration, and Kane's reply was "not a chance man, not a chance".

    Leighton said he knew it was in, and on the replay you can see him look behind himself right at where the puck ended up. Seemed like those 2 might have been the only ones that knew though. Poor Doc Emerick had no clue.

    Man...I wanna go to the parade....but it's at 10:30...I'd have a 2.5 hour drive (if there was zero traffic...ha!)...not to mention parking...plus do I want to bring a 3.5 year old to that madness? *sigh*
