    This is tough. Campbell showed his worth in the playoffs. And I think a #3 (though he's arguably the 4th best d-man on the team behind Hammer) defenseman is harder to come by than a 3rd or 4th line winger. So I would lean toward keeping him. I also don't think the situation is quite as dire as Kyle suggests, especially if Huet is banished to Rockford. No question that Campbell was excellent in the playoffs. But if we have to part with all of those guys that Kyle suggested, I'd be willing to take the hit and get rid of Campbell's contract over getting rid of all of those other players. But it's not all of them vs. Campbell. Madden is gone no matter what. So is Sopel. He mentioned Buff, Sharp, Versteeg, Niemi and Hammer. It's probably any two of these guys vs. Campbell. I don't buy that they all have to go. Getting rid of Campbell's deal would allow them to keep some guys we are assuming are gone. The problem is they probably can't get rid of him, but if they do they'd have to take back a bad deal, so there's no point. I dunno...I bet Campbell would might be easier than you think. The guy is coming off a Stanley Cup and is a good player. He's overpaid, but somebody won't mind taking that contract on. Some team that has cap room and wants to add some name talent might actually take it. It's not like he's a bad player.

    Doesn't matter. It's in the best interest of the state of Texas to keep Texas and aTm playing each other. Where does it say that we have to be in the same conference to play each other? It's not going to say it anywhere, but that's what they want. If the Texas government wants it bad enough, it'll happen. For someone in Michigan, you sure seem to know a lot about the Texas legislature. For someone in Texas, you know a lot about the Cubs.

    That means we need to clear around $7 million in cap space in the next 13 days in order to give qualifying offers to our RFAs, or else Ladd, Eager, Niemi, Hjalmarsson and Hendry all become UFAs instead of RFAs. And we can't send Huet to the minors yet, right?

    First Cubs game I've been interested in for quite a while, I have to admit. Not showing the 7th inning stretch is a crime.

    Is that what all that "buzzing" sound is behind the games? It sounds like a massive swarm of killer bees is hovering over the stadium the whole damn time. They're called vuvuzela horns. They're absolutely intolerable. Completely agree. Just looked them up. Looks like broadcasters and players are complaining about them too. I hope they ban them.

    I might be weird, but I don't mind the CBS ad. It's pretty out of the way where it is on subsilver, I think....and I've actually seen some stories on there before that I've clicked on.

    I figured this was a pretty obvious step if you can't trade the guy. I've heard it mentioned a lot actually. And not just here.

    Arizona Cardinals message board after the game with Green's tirade. The freaking thing went down for a few minutes cuz it was getting hammered so hard. And I'd actually say the majority of the traffic was 49ers fans coming to troll them.

    For some reason, for about 5 min during the game, my dish lost the locals. All my other channels were fine. What occurred during those 5 min? USA's goal.

    Just for another comparison. Obama's victory rally in Grant Park was 225,000. Also the Bulls rallies were around 200,000-250,000 based on the numbers I can find.
