  1. Any trade rumors usually get their own thread...I don't think this thread is necessary.
  2. lol...I'm sure the Nets sources think so.
  3. I don't know how many of you saw it, but The Daily Show last night was fully dedicated to soccer, and had Donovan and Coach Bradley on as guests.
  4. I dunno about the UC, but Bosh and Wade are meeting teams in Chicago.
  5. Huh? I emailed the guy and it was just a mistype that he hadn't caught...it's corrected now...
  6. I bet there's a page like that for each team that is in contention for Lebron...and this one just accidentally got published. There wasn't. It was only the Bulls. A search on NY, NJ, Miami, turned up nothing. ...... Like I said...the Chicago one must've gotten accidentally published. I'm sure the pages are created for all the teams. And just not published.

  8. I also read they've tried to get in touch with Dirk.
  9. Image. Conquest. Tiger's all about the "Majors" and she's one. As an aside, I highly doubt she's getting 3/4 of a billion dollars. There's simply no way Tiger has that much cash. He may be worth 1 billion on paper, but most of it is probably tied up in stock options. He'd have to liquidate and go into bankruptcy to pay out that sort of dough. Well she might not be getting it all in cash though. Houses, cars, investments....
  10. I think he was just saying that Soriano is setting the sights a bit low to be content with a split. He's setting his sights a bit high for a split. If he's trying to forecast what will happen realistically, sure. But as a goal, no.

  12. I could see him leaving if they don't get Bosh or Lebron.
  13. Both the Bulls and Cavs are making their pitches to Lebron on Saturday... http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/17380/lebron_schedule
  14. pretty sure Niitty is going to get a majority of the starts. I always liked him, but probably just because Antero Niittymaki is a great name. So many good names in hockey. During the playoffs my wife was greatly amused that someone was named Vlasic, and even more amused when they said his nickname was Pickles.
  15. Well, this isn't really a fair competition though, right? I mean there's a lot of other determining factors outside of sales pitch. Coaches, supporting cast, other free agents, city, etc.... It's not like all the sales pitches are trying to sell him the same toaster. Wasn't trying to comment on the specific case - only the general question. And sales is almost never a fair competition. Ok...just clarifying.
  16. I'd rather be last than first. In sales you want to be last if possible. Second best choice is first. If you're in the middle you almost never get the deal in a fair competition. 17. It's kind of turned into an NBA offseason thread.
  18. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/hockey/globe-on-hockey/2010-nhl-free-agency-live-blog/article1625654/ Oh! Well that means you can just write off Huet's salary since he can be pushed to the minors.
  19. Agreed on all counts. I think getting both Lebron and Bosh is a real pipe dream at this point.
  20. definitely. there has been a lot of talk about a strong market for goalies, but i like literally none of the goalies on the market. i think ellis is the best goalie available and he's mediocre. still not sure that leighton is the right choice though. I'm sure they could've talked Bowman into giving up Huet. :)
  21. You spelled Lebron funny.
  22. I knew you'd love that one.
  23. That makes this Soriano quote funnier... I'd love to see what a Jim Hendry fire sale looks like. All those NTC's.
