  1. Adam Schefter has an article with imaginary trade proposals...this is one of them... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=schefter_adam&page=10spot/10week06
  2. Safe for work?
  3. Hmmm...interesting stat... http://www.nflstatanalysis.net/2010/10/interception-index.html Basically values interceptions when in the redzone or backed up at your own goal line as more "damaging" than midfield picks. Not sure if there's a lot of validity to it...someone more stat nerdy wanna take a look? I at least like the intent of what he's trying to do.
  4. So I picked up Michael Bush when Mcfadden went down, but I gotta say, I'm scared to death that neither will be a good fantasy option if both are healthy.
  5. Fwiw, John Clayton mentioned the 5 concussion thing on Sportscenter last night. We have Lions, Seahawks, and Panthers fans on this board. Man we have some fans of bad teams around here... ;)
  6. Yeah...you'd be in some sorry RB shape with that trade.
  7. I'm not really talking about whether I agree with the assessment. If they feel they can only salvage his career by moving him to guard, then by all means do it. The point is that is disappointing regardless. Also, the story about not disrupting the line by moving him back to tackle does not hold up to any analysis. You would not be breaking up a steady line, you'd be moving a guy back to where he was supposed to play in the first place. And if there is any thought of moving him back to LT eventually then you are just pre-planning future "disruption". Yeah...if you believe Chris Williams is a better LT than Omiyale, I think you have to do it. Clearly, they don't believe that at this point.
  8. The best part about that is how nobody stops to see what happened to him as he's on the ground. If that really happened yesterday, that's amazing. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Brett-Favre-suffers-a-very-unfortunate-mishap-in?urn=nfl-276794
  9. There's a lot of folks here with Johnny Knox...heh.
  10. Yep...which explains the Williams move.
  11. Hmmm...Not a huge fan of any of those really. Actually Bess might be a better option than any of those if you wanna grab him too. I'll probably wait until I hear for sure what's up with Calvin before dropping anybody. I'd hate to drop any of the three (or McFadden after how well he's played), but I'd have to in order to pick up Bess. My only other option is to cut Roethlisberger, but I'd hate to do that with Schaub not exactly lighting the world on fire. I think most rankings have Bess higher than Knox or Greene at this point.

  13. Go get Wallace.
  14. It could also be that Garza's been battling injury, and they feel better about Williams at guard than Omiyale, who has played a lot better at LT than he ever did at guard. Maybe once you get Garza healthy, you bench Omiyale, and move Williams back to LT?
  15. I think it's a really bad sign. Omiyale is not good. None of the other tackles are good. If Williams cannot lock down a tackle spot the need for more heavy spending on the line skyrockets. If he can play guard well, it fills a role...not as important a role as LT, but still...see if you can find a spot where he can excel. I guess I'd rather him be a success as guard than a total failure at LT.
  16. Browns Jerome Harrison traded to Philly for Mike Bell
  17. The more I think about this, the more I like it. Williams has not been good at either tackle spot (though he didn't get much time at LT, he looked real bad at it in preseason). This might be a last ditch effort to get something out of that draft pick.
  18. Blackhawks are gonna raffle this puppy off.... http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/bike-horiz.jpg http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/bike-tank.jpg http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/10/blackhawks-to-raffle-off-signed-custom-built-chopper.html
  19. I bet you didn't call this one.... http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/10/bears-shuffle-o-line-move-chris-williams-to-guard.html
  20. Bedard, right? Sounds like IR is a real possibility.
  21. Based on? There's been next to no news about Rodgers that I've seen, other than some teammates saying he "looked OK" after the game. So did Cutler. I'd put money on Rodgers missing a week.
